Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets—whether in my home or in yours—I focus on safety, comfort, and maintaining a routine that helps them feel secure. I follow your instructions carefully to keep your pet’s routine as familiar as possible. I handle feeding, walks, litter care, medication (if needed), playtime, and cuddles just as you request. I’m respectful of your space, keep things tidy, and provide regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I also pay attention to behavior and energy changes to ensure they’re happy and comfortable while you’re away. No matter the location, my priority is creating a safe, loving, and low-stress environment where your pets feel cared for and understood.
Information Amanda J. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for your pet, it’s important for me to know anything that helps keep them safe, comfortable, and happy. This includes their daily routine, feeding schedule, and any medical needs, allergies, or medications. I also like to know about their temperament—how they react to new people, other animals, loud noises, or changes in environment. Behavior details are especially helpful: Do they have any fears or triggers? Do they guard food or toys? Are there training cues or habits you’d like me to reinforce? For cats, I appreciate knowing their comfort level with handling, whether they prefer quiet spaces, and how they react to new environments. The more I know about your pet’s likes, dislikes, and unique quirks, the better I can personalize their care and make sure they feel safe and understood.
A typical day
I love keeping pets happy, engaged, and mentally stimulated, so I tailor activities to their personality and energy level. For dogs, that can include fun walks, sniffing adventures, fetch, tug-of-war, puzzle toys, and practicing basic training cues to keep their minds active. For high-energy pups, I add extra play sessions or longer walks, while shy or older dogs get gentler activities and lots of comforting companionship. For cats, I offer interactive play with wand toys, laser pointers, and enrichment games that let them “hunt” safely indoors. I also provide cozy cuddle time, brushing (if they enjoy it), and plenty of space and patience for more independent kitties. No matter the pet, my focus is on creating fun, positive experiences that match their needs and make their time with me feel like a little vacation of their own.

Pet care experience
What sets me apart is the level of patience, attentiveness, and personalized care I give to every pet. I take the time to understand each animal’s routine, personality, and comfort needs so they feel safe and relaxed while you’re away. I’m experienced with puppy care (including basic training and potty routines), senior pets who may need extra support or medication reminders, and cats of all temperaments—from shy and quiet to playful and curious. Whether it’s structured walks, enrichment play, calm companionship, or keeping a consistent routine, I tailor my care to what each pet needs most. My goal is to make your dogs and cats feel genuinely loved and to give you complete peace of mind.
