Pet care experience
The Napping House
Brooklyn transplant here! I've been a pet sitter on Rover for over a dozen years now, and have loved every second of it. Looking forward to getting to know the cats and dogs of Philly. As a full time writer, my time is extremely flexible. My general routine is a long morning walk in a nearby park, long nap together/brainstorming writing ideas, long afternoon/evening walk exploring the neighborhood. I don't have any dogs of my own, but currently live with a wonderful cat who thinks he's a dog. I'm not currently accepting any dog boarding until I have a chance to bond with the dog in question and have time to introduce him to my cat and see if they get along.
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
Because I work remotely, my hours are super flexible, and I'm able to help devote a lot of time to ensuring dogs transition from their owner's care to mine. My priority is making sure that they're calm and feel safe with me.
Ratings and reviews
Amanda was great! She sent great updates and took great care of our dog!

Amanda took amazing care of our pup Miso for the second time, we are so grateful that we can trust her with his care! She is very responsible, communicative, and a wonderful guest in our apartment! Miso can’t wait to see her again!

Amanda did such a great job taking care of our dog and home (again)! She sent lots of photos which is nice while we were away. And our dog really loves her!

Amanda took such great care of our pup and our house while we were gone! Will definitely work with her again!

Amanda was amazing! I was very nervous to leave my dog with a sitter for the first time since moving to NYC but she made it completely stress-free! She was very flexible when we had some crazy travel changes as well as a maintenance issue at our apartment. We loved the daily updates she sent us! I came back to a very happy pup!

Amanda was great. We had to cut our trip slightly short, but she was punctual and communicative, taking great care of our elderly dog (including giving him a daily pill and joint supplement). I'd highly recommend her to take care of your pet(s). Thanks, Amanda. :)

Schedule
I'm a full time writer, so my schedule revolves around whichever animal I'm hanging out with! My hours are extremely flexible. Dogs who are content to lay at my feet while I write, or cats who want to snuggle up in my lap while I work, are a bonus for me!

- I would like to know their feeding and walking routines, if they're friendly with other dogs, if they can go off leash in the park, and if they know any tricks!
