Before you read ahead to get to know me or even hit the “book” button here are a few things I require before I will even discuss a booking with you: *YOU MUST HAVE AN UPDATED PROFILE. *YOU MUST BE WILLING TO DO A MEET AND GREET WITH ME. I WOULD LIKE TO MEET YOU AND YOUR PET(S) IN PERSON AT YOUR HOME BEFORE ACCEPTING YOUR BOOKING. MEET AND GREETS ARE AN IMPORTANT NO COST FISRT STEP IN ESTABLISHING CARE FOR YOUR PETS. *MAKE SURE YOUR ADDRESS IS CURRENT. IF I ARRIVE TO OUR SCHEDULED MEET AND GREET JUST TO BE TOLD BY THE PERSON WHO ANSWERS THE DOOR YOU DO NOT LIVE AT THE ADDRESS LISTED ON YOUR PROFILE, I WILL CANCEL YOUR BOOKING IMMEDIATELY. I HATE HAVING MY TIME AND GAS WASTED. *PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO ADD A PHOTO OF EACH ONE OF YOUR PETS I WILL BE CARING FOR. *YOU MUST HAVE A VETERINARIAN LISTED IN YOUR PROFILE. I WANT ESTABLISHMENT’S NAME, ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER. IF YOU DON’T HAVE ONE, BE A RESPONSIBLE PET OWNER AND GET ONE. YOU NOR I KNOW WHEN AN EMERGENCY WILL HAPPEN. *YOU MUST HAVE A PROFILE FILLED OUT FOR EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOUR PETS! YOU WILL PAY FOR SERVICES PER PET. I HAVE HAD PEOPLE CREATE ONLY ONE PET PROFILE, BUT LISTING MULTIPLE PET NAMES AS ONE BIG NAME AND EXPECTING ME TO ONLY BE PAID FOR ONE PET WHEN THERE ARE MULTIPLE. I WILL IMMEDIATELY CANCEL YOUR BOOKING IF I SHOW UP AND FIND THIS SITUATION IN FRONT OF ME. YOU COULD BE ACROSS THE WORLD ON VACATION AND THINK I WILL LET IT SLIDE. I WILL NOT! IF YOU FIND MY PRICES TO BE UNFAIR PLEASE FIND SOMEONE CHEAPER. *DO NOT EXPECT ME TO WALK INTO YOUR HOME AND CLEAN UP PILES OF POOP AND PEE BECAUSE YOU CHOSE TO NOT CLEAN UP BEFORE LEAVING FOR YOUR TRIP OR YOU LEFT FOR YOUR TRIP SOONER THAN EXPECTED AND DID NOT SCHEDULE ME SOONER TO DROP IN TO SAVE MONEY. I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND PETS HAVE ACCIDENTS AND I WILL CLEAN UP AFTER THEM DURING MY SCHEDULED DROP INS OR STAY, BUT NOT BECAUSE YOU WERE TRYING TO SAVE A FEW DOLLARS BY NOT HAVING ME DROP IN SOONER. REAL LIFE EXAMPLE: A NEW CLIENT REACHED OUT TO ME TO SAY THEIR DOG HAD BEEN LEFT HOME ALONE 1 DAY WITH NO CARE AND THEY WOULD’NT BE HOME UNTIL THE NEXT DAY, COULD I PLEASE LET THEIR DOG OUT, FEED AND WATER THEM? I WALK INTO THEIR HOME TO FIND A DOWNSTAIRS BATHROOM, HALLWAY AND LIVING-ROOM WITH OVER 30 PILES OF PET WASTE! I DID NOT CLEAN IT AS IT WAS OBVIOUS THIS DOG WAS EITHER ALLOWED TO USE THE INDOORS AS ITS BATHROOM ALL THE TIME OR THE DOG WAS LEFT ALONE MUCH LONGER THAN I WAS BEING TOLD AND THE FAMILY WANTED ME TO CLEAN UP BEFORE THEY GOT HOME. I AM NOT A MAID SERVICE. AGAIN I WILL CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR PETS IF I AM WITH THEM AND THEY HAVE AN ACCIDENT/VOMIT OR IN BETWEEN MY SCHEDULED DROP INS. I have been on Rover for 6 years and have had over 150 clients, most have been wonderful to work for and have become good friends. Unfortunately there have been a handful that have tried taking advantage of me and the services I provide. When this happens it ruins what I love doing. I am caring and extremely dependable and I know my worth. THANK YOU! Hi! I am Amanda, mother of two humans ages 17 and 12 and two cats ages 7 and 9. My family and I just moved back to Kittery, ME (July 2024) from Syracuse, UT. My husband was stationed here 20 years ago and we lived in Kittery and Sanford during those years the Coast Guard kept him in the area. We have moved around for 24 years following his military career. We are happy to be back! After his retirement we took a one year "break" in the Sun Valley area in Idaho where I started my Rover business and had consistent clients. We then moved to Mountain Home, ID where my husband worked on the Air Force base and my Rover business exploded! He then took a job at Hill Air Force base in Utah and I kept very busy with my Rover clientele there. I’ve been around animals all my life. From cats, dogs, fish, lizards, spiders, and birds to steer, horses, rabbits and chickens! As a child I would take care of neighbors pets for pocket change. In high school I volunteered to be the animal caretaker year round of our Ag Department and FFA animals that were housed on the school campus. I had keys to the school facilities, fed, watered and cleaned up after the animals daily. I also worked at the local feed store. Later on I worked at a doggie daycare here in Maine where I spent my days outside (sun, rain or snow) with groups of different breeds and sizes of dogs. I was the one my husband’s shipmates turned to to care for their pets while they were out at sea. I am very reliable and trustworthy. I will show your pets as much love as you do. I am available to walk, play and feed your pets as needed. I am also available for short or long term pet/house sitting. I have had new clients ask frequently if my kids join me when I do my Rover jobs and I always answer with it’s up to you. Both are respectful, responsible and huge animal lovers like me. One or both may join me at meet and greets. There have been times I was not available to house/pet sit and clients have requested my daughter in my place. I never bring anyone into client’s homes unless I’ve been given permission. If you are interested in referrals I am happy to provide phone numbers from past clients. When housesitting I am in your home. I stay the majority of the time and only leave if I have an appointment, need to run home because I need something or if there is an emergency. I bring my own food, towels and blankets. I am a stay at home mom and wife. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to work around your pets needs and schedule.
