Pet care experience

I love pets!! I have owned hamsters, guinea pigs, cats and dogs. I must admit though, dogs are my favourite. Currently, I own a 130 lbs Great Pyrenees/German Shepherd so I have a lot of experience training a stubborn strong dog. My trainer (whose specialty is rehabilitating dogs rescued from fighting rings) taught me how best to support my lovable active giant. I also have experience helping my dog with pain. He has bad knees and requires many supplements and massages. I also teach grade 1/2 in the Richmond School District, so I am very patient and professional. In addition, I'm fully vaccinated for Covid 19. I am available for dog walks in the evenings on weekdays and anytime on weekends. I am available for pet sitting on weekends all night and day. I could also do pet sitting during the week if the animal can be left for 9 hours while I'm at work. I have my own car, large enough to fit my giant dog so there's lots of room to transport your pet if required. Since my dog is so big and only requires short walks, my partner would care for him, while I care for your pet. Your pet would have my undivided attention.

Amanda took care of my 7 year old German Shepherd Epi and was amazing with her. I was nervous to leave her as she can be reactive to other dogs but Amanda was able to take care of her and provide her with lots of exercise and cuddles. She sent me photos every day and kept me in the loop. Highly recommend :)

Amanda is a great pet owner, at first I thought she was a dog trainer just because of how she has trained her large dog to interact with both people and other fury friends. I would be happy no to have her to watch our pet. I don't know how she is with fish and lizards.

I highly recommend Amanda as a caring and responsible caregiver for your fur baby. Her loving interaction with her dog Nibbler made it evident that she is knowledgeable, caring, and confident with dogs. As a testament to this, Nibbler is well-behaved and friendly with people and other dogs. His health and well-being are her priority, and I am confident that she will provide the same attention and responsibility to all pets in her care.

Amanda has a big dog, and by a big dog, I mean a 130lb dog, I feel that if she can take care of him, she is capable of taking care of almost any dog! She is great with her dog "Nibbler" and my cat "Babu", she went through puppy training with Nibber and is great whenever he is having interactions with other dogs, she helps other pet owners with training when needed as she wants smaller dogs to feel comfortable around her dog. Amanda is a grade 1/2 teacher, super dependable, and all-around bubbly and happy person. Her eyes light up when she sees pets, and when we are out and about she always wants to stop and pet all of the dogs that she can. I think she would make a great addition to the Rover team as they will get lots of love and attention.
