I work from home most days, which allows me to give pets lots of attention and keep a consistent routine. I’m home Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and weekends, so your pet will have plenty of company throughout the day. On Wednesdays, I’m in the office, but I’m located very close to home and can easily come back for check-ins, walks, and care as needed. Overall, I have a flexible schedule and can adapt to your pet’s routine to make sure they’re comfortable, well cared for, and never left alone for long.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a pet-friendly apartment on the main floor, which means quick and easy access to the outdoors for bathroom breaks and walks—no long waits or elevators needed. We’re also located near great off-leash parks and walking areas, perfect for getting in lots of exercise and fresh air (always based on your comfort level and your dog’s needs). Inside, my home is clean, calm, and set up to be a safe, cozy environment where your dog can relax and feel at home. I’m attentive, responsible, and always mindful of each dog’s routine, safety, and well-being.

Information Amanda J. would like to know about your pet
Before your dog’s stay, I like to learn as much as possible to make sure they’re comfortable and well cared for. Please let me know about your dog’s routine (feeding schedule, walk times, sleep habits), personality, and energy level so I can match their day as closely as possible. It’s also important to share any medical needs, allergies, medications, or behavioural quirks (for example: leash reactivity, separation anxiety, or resource guarding). The more I know, the better I can create a safe and stress-free environment for your pup. I also like to know how your dog does with other dogs, especially since I have Pepper at home, so I can make sure introductions and interactions are a good fit. My goal is to make your dog feel right at home—so no detail is too small!
A typical day
A typical day is relaxed, structured, and tailored to your dog’s needs. Mornings start with a bathroom break and some light activity to get the day going, followed by breakfast and a bit of downtime. Since I work from home, your dog will have plenty of company throughout the day—whether they like to play, keep me company while I work, or nap nearby. We’ll fit in walks, playtime, and outdoor breaks, with lots of attention and cuddles in between. If your dog enjoys being social and it’s a good fit, they can spend time with my dog Pepper as well. I always make sure interactions are safe, comfortable, and match both dogs’ energy levels. In the evenings, we’ll wind down with another walk or some playtime, followed by a calm, cozy night. I stick as closely as possible to your dog’s usual routine so they feel comfortable, happy, and right at home.

Dog Mom Full of Love
Pet care experience
Lifelong dog lover and proud dog mom to my Australian Shepherd, Pepper 🐾 My home is calm, cozy, and very dog-friendly. I work from home, so your pup will get plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day—no long hours alone. I’m experienced with daily routines, walks, playtime, and making sure each dog feels comfortable and cared for. I’m happy to care for puppies (with all the patience and consistency they need!) as well as senior dogs who may need a gentler, more relaxed approach. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers to cuddle and relax, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home.
Reviews
I have used Amanda as a catsitter on various occasions over the last few years. She is a huge animal lover, super responsive, communicative and I know my pet is in good hands with her! I would highly recommend her if you’re looking for a pet sitter.
Amanda is an outstanding pet caregiver who truly goes above and beyond. She is incredibly responsible, attentive, and deeply loving with every animal she cares for. Her love for her own dog, Pepper, shines through in the way she treats all pets—with the same patience, affection, and respect she gives her own. Whenever I go to Disney, Amanda looks after my Bella, and I have complete peace of mind knowing she is in the best possible hands. Amanda takes the time to understand each pet’s personality, routines, and needs, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and happy at all times. Whether it’s walks, meals, playtime, or extra snuggles, Bella is always cared for as if she were part of Amanda’s own family. What truly sets Amanda apart is her genuine compassion for animals. She doesn’t see pet care as just a job, but as a responsibility she truly cherishes. Any pet parent would be incredibly lucky to have Amanda care for their furry family member, and I would recommend her without hesitation.
If you're looking for the best fur auntie to love on your pet while away, Amanda's the right fit for you !! Loving on dogs of all sizes and breeds, she knows when she sees the goodest boys (or girls!) ♡ your pet will be taken on the best trails/parks, go for fun car rides, be smooched on and even get to snuggle on the couch! We trust amanda with not only our fur baby, but our children as well. You'll want to keep booking with amanda once you start.
