Safety, trust & environment
I focus on creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment that keeps their routine as consistent as possible. I take time to get to know each pet’s personality, preferences, and needs—whether that means playtime, quiet companionship, or structured walks. In our home, they have a clean, pet-safe space to relax, with plenty of affection, supervised play, and downtime. I maintain a peaceful environment with minimal stress, and I only take in pets who are a good fit for the setting to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort. We have a fully fenced yard and puppy proof home.

Information Amanda H. would like to know about your pet
Its important for me to know as much ad possible about your pet ahead of time so I can provide the best care. This includes their daily routine, feeding schedule, energy level, and any health concerns or medications they may need. I also like to know about: Temperament and personality (e.g., shy, playful, anxious, etc.) Any behavioral issues (like chewing, marking, reactivity, etc.) How they are around other pets or strangers Commands they know and how they respond to discipline or redirection Any fears or triggers (like loud noises or certain environments) Vet contact and emergency instructions. The more I know, the better I can keep your pet comfortable, happy, and safe while you're away!
A typical day
I love keeping pets both happy and mentally stimulated during our time together! Depending on their energy level, age, and personality, I’ll tailor activities to what they enjoy most. That could mean going on enriching walks, playing fetch, tug-of-war, or using puzzle toys. I also make time for one-on-one attention—whether it’s brushing, belly rubs, or just sitting together. My goal is to make sure your pet feels loved, entertained, and relaxed while you're away. We have a 1 year old puppy who is happy to play with your pet!

Pet care experience
What sets me apart from other sitters is my 18 years of hands-on experience caring for both cats and dogs of all ages. I'm comfortable with everything from playful puppies to senior pets who may need a little extra care and patience. I’m experienced in administering medications—both oral and topical—and I always prioritize your pet’s comfort and well-being. Whether it's keeping up with high energy or providing gentle support to older pets, I bring reliability, compassion, and a deep understanding of animal behavior to every visit.
Reviews

Our puppy Sandy had a great stay with her new friend. Lots of playtime! Amanda was great with communication and sending videos and pictures of all the fun that was had!

She was amazing with my little poodle! Will book again 🩷

Amanda provided amazing care for Ollie, he looked so comfortable and cared for. I will definitely be re-booking!
I highly recommend Amanda - I am what you'd consider a 'higher maintenance' pet parent as I have cats with higher needs (extremely skittish rescues with meds needed every 12hrs); and having worked in vet clinics for a decade admittedly made my expectations rather finicky and picky. However with Amanda I have zero reservations; watching how she cares for all animals she comes into contact with (her own, mine, and others) I without reservation trust her with my own pets and the care that they need. She is highly attentive with a warm calm energy that even my own extremely scared cats respond to, and she has experience with feeding various types of diets and administering medication. Her attention to detail is incredible and is an extremely responsible and forward-thinking individual, which gives me a huge peace of mind - Amanda is always my first choice when it comes to who to trust with my pet's care, and would vouch for her abilities without hesitation. If you want your pet to be doted on and cared for the way you do - Amanda is your person!
