Animals have always been a huge part of my life growing I cared for a variety of pets from dogs and cats to lizards and even farm animals. I’ve had hands-on experience with pets of all shaped sizes and personalities alongside caring for my own animals. I’ve fostered rescues and built meaningful connections with every animal that’s crossed my path whether they were mine or someone else. Through my experiences as an animal lover, nanny, and direct support professional, I’ve developed deep, patient empathy, and an understanding of attentive, compassionate care. I’m comfortable working with some reactive dogs as long as they’re non-aggressive toward people. I’m always mindful of each animals unique needs, boundaries, and comfort levels. As a smaller person, I do take physical considerations into account in certain situations to ensure both my safety and the pets well-being. I pride myself on being reliable, calm under pressure, and very in tune with animals, emotions and body language. Whether it’s feeding or simply providing companionship my goal is always to make every pet feel safe understood and genuinely loved in my care.

Amanda went above and beyond with Kylo! He was so happy to hang out with her and her family and two other pets, a dog and a cat. She was so very attentive and made sure Kylo got his outdoor and play time. I would totally book with Amanda again. If you have any worries about pet care, she would be the one to calm all your worries!
Amanda went above and beyond in many different ways for our 7 month old puppy’s first time away from his family. She made sure to send many updates, videos, pictures and stories. She was very attentive to our pup and ensured she provided the best care possible. She spent much time learning about our pup, writing down notes, asking many questions and ensuring she understood everything that was needed and wanted. We will 100% be going with Amanda again for our next time away.
I’ve known Amanda for 4 years and every-time I see her around animals, she BEAMS joy and happiness. She gives them so much attention and love, it’s rather sweet to see. I have 2 dogs and they are always excited and happy to see Amanda. They don’t leave her side when she comes over.

Schedule
I am getting back on my feet after a long term relationship ending. I need some more animals in my life. I am a baker, and make my own schedule. I am very active and I do enjoy being outside. Which makes me perfect for your pet. Animals are healing, and I need it. I find loving them helps me. I would love the opportunity to add your pet into my routine and love them as much as I can while you are at work :)

I have a fenced in back yard. I have made relationships with many dogs in my area that your pet could meet while on a walk. I do also care for my grandparents dog, and he loves animals. So if your pet is good with other animals there are many animals that we could see if they can enjoy time with each other. I do make sure everything is locked outside. Before any doors are opening I do like to train dogs to sit and wait at the door. This is something that matters a lot to me. I would never be okay with a dog running away. I am more than willing to followed a detail routine and way you have with your pet. I have been a nanny and know the importance of a routine.
A typical day
I absolutely love spending time with animals. Whether its playing and roughhousing (if they are up for it), going on fun outdoor adventures, or practicing tricks for treats, I make sure pets feel happy, give it them plenty of love and attention and activity that works for your pet :)

- I would like to know what they are and are not comfortable with. Any allergies, and or tummy issues, and what their routine is. I would also want to know how to expect me to handle certain situations you have seen your animal in. This is very important to me. I need to know their boundaries and yours so I can be the best person for the job.
