Information Amanda G. would like to know about your pet

I am experienced with senior dogs or same special needs dogs. I always require a prior meet and greet . I like to know their habits and preferences. It is particularly helpful when the pet is dropped off in daytime so they can adjust by nighttime.

A typical day

A great many of my guest dogs are very small or are seniors. I no longer take dogs over 25 pounds, because of this. Most of them love to explore the toy basket for recreation. They of course love the backyard as well.

Pet care experience

I have owned two dozen plus dogs in my life. I don’t like to say “owned”, really, because it is they who truly owned my heart. These dogs prepared me for dog sitting. They ranged in breed and size from pekes, cockers, poodles, shepherds, chihuahuas ,and more. I am an experienced dog sitter. In the ten years that I’ve been working with Rover, I have been blessed with over 370 !!!dog guests. My house is cozy and pet friendly. The backyard is fenced and shady. Being retired means that I am able to revel inbeing home all the time with your dog next to me on my couch. I cherish time with dogs. It is my favorite thing in life. I LOVE DOGS!ii I no longer take care of dogs that are over 25 pounds or ones that are rambunctious. I will be giving a $40.00 discount to first time clients for their first booking.

Mrs. Amanda was a great sitter! She sent multiple updates throughout the day with pictures! Her and Bentley bonded almost immediately. She is a true dog lover, and I will book again.

My pup is a rescue and very anxious; Amanda was accommodating to his needs. She is knowledgeable about various breeds, quick to reply, and qualified to care for pets, based on my experience with her. A green flag for me was when she told me that my pup wanted to sleep on the couch where he last saw me, instead of in her bedroom and she allowed it. She clearly gave him his space, which he needed. Again, he’s a very anxious pup, so I appreciated that. I’m looking forward to my pup getting to know her more through future stays. ☺️
