Pet care experience
Retired teacher dog lady dogs love
I have owned two dozen plus dogs in my life. I don’t like to say “owned”, really, because it is they who truly owned my heart. These dogs prepared me for dog sitting. They ranged in breed and size from pekes, cockers, poodles, shepherds, chihuahuas ,and more. I am an experienced dog sitter. In the ten years that I’ve been working with Rover, I have been blessed with over 370 !!!dog guests. My house is cozy and pet friendly. The backyard is fenced and shady. Being retired means that I am able to revel inbeing home all the time with your dog next to me on my couch. I cherish time with dogs. It is my favorite thing in life. I LOVE DOGS!ii I no longer take care of dogs that are over 25 pounds or ones that are rambunctious.

My dogs are always well cared for when they are with Amanda.

My pup is a rescue and very anxious; Amanda was accommodating to his needs. She is knowledgeable about various breeds, quick to reply, and qualified to care for pets, based on my experience with her. A green flag for me was when she told me that my pup wanted to sleep on the couch where he last saw me, instead of in her bedroom and she allowed it. She clearly gave him his space, which he needed. Again, he’s a very anxious pup, so I appreciated that. I’m looking forward to my pup getting to know her more through future stays. ☺️

Amanda and Jesse took great care of my man! Thanks so much!

When my pup needed to be boarded a second time, I could tell she was comfortable to be coming back to Amanda's house. That speaks volumes to let me know she feels happy and comfortable with her!

Amanda was so wonderful with our dog, Dolly. She was excellent at keeping us updated with both texts and pictures of Dolly while we were away. We could tell that Dolly had the best time!!

Amanda is comunicative and clearly a dog-lover and experienced sitter! We have a pup who doesn't like to be away from her family... but she really took to Amanda, and we felt confident that our doggy was in a loving, safe, home environment and well cared for.

Schedule
I’m retired and at home all the time with the occasional break for 2-3 hours for appointments. I tell clients ahead of time so there is no misunderstanding, when ever I’m able.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pups can enjoy frequent visits to the large fenced and shady backyard. They really get a chance to do the zoomies or bask in a patch of sun.
Pets
A typical day
A great many of my guest dogs are very small or are seniors. I no longer take dogs over 25 pounds, because of this. Most of them love to explore the toy basket for recreation. They of course love the backyard as well.
