Just graduated with my PhD in Clinical Psychology and am completing my pediatric psychology post doc fellowship- so I have flexibility with advanced notice. I promise to treat your best friend as my very own. You will not find another individual as dedicated to providing love, support, care, exercise and fun. Very big promotor of positive reinforcement! I believe pets are family. I currently have a rescue pup from Aruba who does experience significant anxiety and reactivity in novel situations and feel comfortable working with dogs who experience similar challenges. Previous experience includes extended house sitting for a family on sabitical for 6 months. During this time period, Midget (a 30lb rescue) was my number 1 companion. She was able to experience a ton of new things. I grew up with 2 Lab Retrievers, and my parents now have a black lab boarder collie mix, Sophia, and have experience taking care of larger, as well as elderly dogs. I have also done long term drop in dog care for 2 puppies. I've always been an athlete so taking longer walks or running with your buddy will not be a problem. I love hiking and I am happy to take your dog on hikes if you would like. Reference contact information available per request.

Amanda is the perfect sitter. We felt so happy that our dogs were with her while we were gone. Our dogs were so happy the whole time and Amanda sent us plenty of photos. She even stopped by for an extra visit because we had a flight delay. Our one dog is a big, excitable Rhodesian Ridgeback but she had no problem handling him. We will never use anybody else in this area to watch our dogs.
We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Amanda! She is truly the best dog sitter we’ve ever had. Throughout the entire stay, she kept us updated with frequent messages and tons of adorable pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She took amazing care of our home and, most importantly, was absolutely wonderful with our high energy, anxious husky mix.
Amanda was amazing! Our dogs loved her! It’s great to be able to trust someone to love our boys while we are away! We will definitely use her in the future 😁
