Labs have been in my life since I was born, but I got my kitten at age 6, so I'll say that's when my real pet care experience began! Animals are such a significant part of my life that I got my bachelor's degree in zoology. I've practiced dairy goat husbandry, studied monkeys in the Surinamese rainforest, and worked as an animal keeper at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Not only do I understand how to care for animals, but I'm a truly playful and active person. There's nothing better than romping around outside with a pup and wearing one another out! That being said, I helped care for my family dog Farrah in her senior years and during that time we shared some of the most tender and mellow moments. If my admiration of pets isn't yet clear, I also paint pet portraits and you can see some in my profile photos.

Pets are family members and the magnitude of trust put towards a petsitter is not something I take for granted. I care deeply about helping my clients feel at ease when I'm caring for their beloved pets. I'm meticulous and detail-oriented in everything I do, and that translates to following pet care directions and routines to a T. I'm open to talking through all of your needs and concerns to help make the experience excellent for all involved.

Amanda responded promptly to a last minute dog walking request and did a great job with our senior rescue pup Finley. Will definitely use her again!
Amanda was awesome. I made a last minute request and she came through, came on time, sent pics and gave my doggie a much needed long walk. She was friendly and kind. A real gem!
Amanda has always had the greatest respect and care for all animals. She’s grown up with dogs and cats, and has had experience with many animals, big and small. She is very patient and compassionate, and would make the best companion for any pet!

Schedule
I’m a morning person, up with the sun, so early walks and check-ins are no problem! I also have a hybrid work schedule, which supports my flexibility around pet care.
