Hello!! Are you looking for the perfect pet sitter but are afraid to leave your furry loved one alone with a "stranger?" Let me tell you a little about how I would be a great fit to care for your family companion while you are out of town! I have been around animals my entire life. I have owned rats, birds, reptiles, cats, dogs, and horses. I also foster for the local animal shelter, specializing in weight loss, senior animals and neonatals (bottle babies). I have worked in the veterinary field for 5 years as a technician and have experience medicating pets whether they are on a daily pill (or several) or injections. I now work full time from home, so I will be home with your dog all day, unless errands are needing to be done. Have a timid fur baby? You can feel at ease when your pet is with me. I take my time in gaining your pets trust. I am experienced in reading animal behavior and don't push them if they feel uncomfortable. I find ways that interest your pet to feel more comfortable with me, whether it be just sitting in a room on the floor and letting them approach me, offering treats (but not overdoing the treats), if they are dog friendly, I will introduce them to my dogs so they can see that I am not "big and scary." I have a large fenced in backyard for them to run around in, play fetch, or just bask in the sun. They will have their very own bedroom at night to sleep in with a kennel and a bed. If your have an extra large dog, they would be welcome sleeping in the bedroom with us at the foot of the bed. I am very flexible when it comes to making sure your pet is comfortable and feels at home and safe while they stay with me. If you're looking for someone to take your pet on daily walks, I research the area around where you are and find local parks, animal friendly cafes/restaurants or even local trails nearby! Your baby will be sure to get lots of exercise and socialization on our outings! I have both cats and dogs, but have no worry if your pet needs to be "the one and only," I can safely keep them separate so everyone is safe and happy. If they prefer to be the one and only, I can easily accommodate that as well. Everyone is rotated around for equal play time in the backyard, relaxing in the house, and crated for quiet time.

If you're looking for great customer service and good animal care experience ... Amanda's your gal. She listened to my needs, over-delivered and was super communicative with me during Crawford's stay at her home. It was my first time with a dog sitter (& I knew I could trust Rover, because I'm a Rover sitter & know they do a background check) ... but I was still nervous. My dog is 5 months young and although well-adjusted & potty trained, is very vulnerable. She was sensitive to this; I left him with her feeling i could trust her 100% ... I received photos and updates the entire time I was away. Highly recommend.
Amanda and her family are incredibly kind and attentive to our dogs. I truly appreciate Amanda going above and beyond to ensure they ate their meals.

We’ve been bringing our dogs to Amanda for the past couple of years, and without a doubt, she’s our go-to boarding spot. We highly trust Amanda. She’s always quick to get back to us, and our dogs absolutely adore her—she treats them with such care and love.

Schedule
I work from home, so have open availability! I am up at 7am to start potty breaks and breakfast. My office is set up in the living room, so the pups can lounge or play while I work

Safety, trust & environment
Pets in my care get fed between 7-8am and again at 6pm, unless otherwise discussed. I have a large fenced in backyard that is checked before each pup is dropped off. They are never left out longer than they want. Pets are crate rotated throughout the day if I have dogs that may not play well with others. All medium-large dogs are crated at night. Bedtime is usually between 8-10pm

A typical day
Your dog will get the mental stimulation and plenty of play time needed during their stay. If they are puppies, I can teach them the basics: sit, lay down, shake, speak, etc. I do it as my own hobby at no extra charge :-)
