Hello! My name is Amanda Engel. I am a trusted, experienced pet care professional who is very passionate about dogs! -Experience: I am a graduate of the Medina County Career Center's two year Animal Care program in which I worked in a Doggy Daycare, grooming salon, veterinary lab, and a pet shop as a part of the program. I have volunteered at the Humane Society for many years and currently volunteer for a local pet rescue. I have fostered dogs (both puppies and adults), and with a little patience and love, have helped many fearful dogs recover, learn to trust again, and become adoptable. I’ve always been told that dogs are drawn to me (probably because they can sense that I love them so much!). -Services: Regarding my services, I have years of experience in providing a variety of pet care services (drop-in care, dog walking, and overnight care). I have provided care for dogs anywhere from 5 pounds to 100 pounds! I am well rounded when it comes to experience with different breeds and always accommodate to the individual needs of each dog. Since the comfort and safety of your pet is my #1 priority, I take the following steps to ensure a safe and healthy environment: - Monitoring weather conditions and limiting time outdoors in excess heat -Always keeping dogs on a leash when outdoors -Inquiring about any medical history or needs and adhering to any medication schedules -Taking a Canine First Aid & CPR course periodically to maintain safety skills

As a fellow pet care professional, I am very choosy about who cares for my dogs when I go away. Amanda always sends updates multiple times daily and also asks my permission to take Ronnie to parks, to the pet store, etc. He gets his own vacation while I am away and it's easier to leave him knowing that she loves him so much. Amanda was a great communicator-sent details and lots of pictures and updates. I loved that. Our dogs were happy and liked being outside. Amanda clearly loves animals.
Amanda is a true professional. As a full-time professional pet care person, I've been looking for someone who cares for my pets and pays them the attention that I pay them. From start to finish she showed my guy love and affection. She sent me many pictures and updates at least twice a day, she asked me permission to take him to parks, pet store, and to bathe him, which I granted. When I went to pick him up, Ronnie was clean, soft, and elated to see us. It truly was a personalized vacation for him! I had no worry or concern whatsoever that Ronnie was being cared for with all the love and affection he deserves. I will most definitely hire her again if she's available!
Amanda took such good care of our boys, and we could enjoy our vacation know they were being so well cared for.
