I would like to know the name and temperament of the dog. If there is a certain toy or treat that helps the dog bond with new human friends, it would be good to know. I would also like to know what, if any training has the dog had. Does she(he) know her name and her boundaries around the house? Does she enjoy walks? Is she used to a certain routine throughout the day and or around walks (such as having meals at a certain time, getting walked at a certain time, having a certain treat or special play time with a certain toy after walks)? It would also be good to know of any behaviors I should be aware of. For instance, if there is a certain way the dog lets you know she needs to go outside, if there are spots in the house she isn't allowed or other bad habits to look out for, and if she tends to stop eating or be less playful for a day or two after you leave on a trip. For breed preference, I have more experience with smaller breeds, but have been around many Labs and German Shepherds. If the dog has been well socialized with humans and is friendly, I am happy to take care of him.
A typical day
Unless you specific otherwise, I will take your dog for walk around your local neighborhood. If there is a park near by, will with head over there to take in some natural beauty and fun. We can play fetch or tug-o-war,

I have been helping care for my family and friends' dogs for quite a while. I love it since I am not able to have my own puppy. Being greeted by a fur baby who is excited for some company is always a special moment. I am a skilled dog walker and poop cleaner, especially with smaller breeds. I love play time and cuddle time and do my best to figure out what sort of attention and fun each four-legged friend enjoys. I have experience with walking, feeding, play time, basic clicker training, and simple baths. I have flexible availability to give your special friend a potty break when you have to work late, or if you want someone to help burn off some of his or her energy in the middle of the day, I am looking forward to meeting your pup and becoming fast friends.

I'm so happy that I found Amanda! She handled my three doggies with ease and on short notice. It's no small thing having a stranger sleep in your house, but I felt at ease with Amanda. She was a perfect house guest, and I came home to three calm and happy dogs.
Amanda was great with Rocky and sent us lots of pictures and updates. We were able to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing he was with a caring and reliable sitter!
