My husband grew up with a dog. When we got married we decided to adopt a lop eared rabbit. We couldn't just live with one, so we had to adopt a friend for our big bun! We cared for both of those rabbits until their last days through bonding them together and with a third rabbit when our first guy passed and through sickness and fun times. After the rabbits had all passed, we moved on to larger animals and adopted our first dog - Maya - a Husky, when she was just a year old. She's our big, sweet and talkative girl. We've had her and loved her for the past 9 years. We decided a couple years ago she needed a friend and got our boy - Tucker - a chocolate lab - when he was just 7 weeks old. Both of our dogs have had some unlucky health situations and surgeries so giving medicine or giving special care isn't a problem for us. When you bring your dog to stay with us, he or she will have a lot of free time to roam about. We have a large backyard with lots of trees (and sticks). I am home during most of the day so they will be free to roam about the house as well. When we leave we do crate our dogs but they stay out at night. In fact, our lab sleeps with our daughter and our husky sleeps on the floor next to our bed or our son. We do allow our dogs on some furniture so its no problem for us to get cuddly close to your fur babies! We would love for the opportunity to take care of your dogs while you're out of town or unavailable. I am currently not working. Our dogs stay out during the day while we are at home. They are crated in the evenings when we have to leave for sports practices. We have a large fenced in yard with dogs all around us to run and play with. We have lots of trees and sticks to play with and squirrels to chase!

I was nervous because I've never left Shiloh with anyone without doing a meet and greet first, but it all went well. She got along with their dogs and seemed to be very content in the photos I received. I'll definitely use them again.
As always, my pups are taken care of and treated like family. Amanda, Donnie and kids are awesome! Thanks again guys!
I highly recommend Amanda and Donnie! They were awesome & took excellent care of Duncan. They sent daily updates w/pics, asked questions and answered any I had. Duncans summer allergy kicked up while he was there due to weather and they were quick to do whatever possible to make him comfortable. I was worried Duncan would be depressed or have separation anxiety but he did great, which I credit to the family treating him as one of their own. He loves people & this family was perfect for him. He got along great with their other dogs; younger ones kept him occupied. A&D were flexible with drop off/pick up; even when we missed our flight & plans changed. This was a big trip for us & it helped a ton not to worry about him...it was enough just to miss him..lol. Next time we need a sitter A&D will be first I contact.
So happy to leave our pets with Amanda & Donnie again. We have used them for 3 years now and still continue to be pleased with the love they give our dogs when we are away from home. With a 15 year old senior dog who is on many medications I know he is well taken care of and loved by them while we are gone. They are also great dealing with our other dog's anxiety. Will definitely keep using them!!!

Schedule
We are a homeschooling family so we are home during the day most days. During nice weather we even do schooling outside to enjoy the back yard and keep all the dogs company.

We have a large fenced in yard to allow the dogs to all run around and stay safe. Lots of trees and room to explore. We also live in a ranch so we have the ability to limit steps if that is a problem with a senior or special needs dog.

We have the ability to go on short or longer walks in our neighborhood. We have a large fenced in backyard for exploring and roaming around and playing as well. Your fur baby will have fun with our fur babies playing and meeting new friends.
