Safe, Happy, Loved
For the past seven years, I had the privilege of sharing my life with my dog, Agatha, whom I adopted when she was around seven years old. She recently passed away at an estimated 14 years old after battling cancer. Caring for Agatha, especially during the last few months of her life, taught me patience, compassion, and how to meet a dog exactly where they are. As she got older, she needed more hands-on support. Whether it was helping her stand, carrying her when her body wouldn't cooperate (all 55 pounds of her!), or hand-feeding her because that's how she was most comfortable, I learned that every dog has unique needs and deserves care that respects their personality. Agatha was fiercely independent, so I always tried to give her as much dignity and choice as possible while making sure she felt safe and loved. While I'm not ready to adopt another dog just yet, I truly miss having one in my life. That's what brought me to Rover. I would love the opportunity to care for your pet, whether they enjoy long walks, playtime, or simply having a calm companion nearby. I live in an apartment with easy access to outdoor walking paths, sidewalks, and a nearby dog park, making it easy to provide plenty of exercise, fresh air, and opportunities to explore. My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable, cared for, and at home while you're away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they're in loving hands.

Ratings and reviews
I have had the pleasure of knowing Amanda for over 30 years. She is one of the most responsible, kind, resourceful and respectful individuals I’ve known. Her love for all animals, specifically dogs, is above and beyond. Her sweet pup Agatha was the light of Amanda’s life, and she will treat everyone’s fur babies with the gentlest loving care. Amanda is a business owner who contributes much to her community and would be an absolute asset to the rover team.
Mandy is a lifelong dog lover who grew up in a home filled with dogs and has earned the title of “dog auntie” from friends over the years. While she is new to dog walking, she is certainly not new to caring for animals. She was a devoted rescue dog mom to her beloved Agatha, who accompanied her each day to her Barre Method studio and joined her while she worked caring for seniors in the evenings. Mandy’s compassion and genuine love for animals were evident in the way she cared for Agatha throughout her life. In Agatha’s memory, Mandy is channeling that same dedication into caring for other people’s pets. Any dog in her care will be treated with the same love, attention, and responsibility as if they were her own.
Amanda is exactly the kind of person I want caring for my dogs! There are very few people I trust to care for my fur kids and Amanda is one of them. She loves them like they’re her own and they get so excited every time they see her. She’s professional and reliable so I can always trust she’ll be there when scheduled. I absolutely recommend Amanda!
There is no one I would trust more with the care of my dogs! Mandy is incredibly responsible and gets genuine pleasure out of making dogs happy. She is a capable owner of a small business so has the flexibility to give pups the time they need for walks and play. Your pups will thank you!
If you’re looking for someone to care for your dog like they’re their own, I can’t recommend Mandy enough. She’s not only an incredible dog lover but also one of the most caring and dependable people I know. Every dog she meets is treated with so much love, patience, and attention, and it’s obvious Mandy truly enjoys spending time with them. Whether it’s a quick walk or extra playtime, or even a cuddle -you can trust that your pup will be happy, safe, and cared for every step of the way. Any dog (and family) would be lucky to have Mandy !
I have known Amanda (Mandy) for 24 years and can only say amazing things about her as a friend and human. When she adopted Agatha (a sweet elder pittie-mix pup whose owner passed away) it was clear she found a soulmate - and business partner! Mandy owns her own Bar workout studio and Agatha (quickly dubbed the "Studio Manager") would join her daily, warmly greeting clients, roaming the classroom and licking babies in the daycare. This is a true testament to Mandy's ability as a pet owner - she cares deeply, welcoming the pets to be an integral part of her life much like a person. I have always said that people who say things like "that's just a dog" do not get what it means to be a true pet owner - true pet owners understand that there is no such thing as "just a dog" as their dog becomes an integral member of the family. This is exactly the type of environment that Mandy creates and I am certain that she will provide this type of love and attention for any pet in her care!

Schedule
I own a local fitness studio, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to plan my day around the pets in my care. Most weekdays, I'm available between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for walks, drop-in visits, or spending quality time with pets. My mornings typically begin around 8:00 a.m., and I'm at my studio from approximately 9:00–11:00 a.m. and again from 4:00–7:00 p.m. Because I have flexibility throughout the day, I can provide regular potty breaks, exercise, meals, and companionship. Whether your pet enjoys an active walk, playtime, or simply relaxing with someone nearby, I'll make sure they receive attentive, personalized care while you're away.
Where your pet will stay
Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I know that every pet is different, so my first priority is getting to know your dog's routine, personality, and any special needs before their stay or visit. I'll follow your instructions closely, whether that's feeding schedules, medications, favorite walking routes, or little routines that help your pet feel comfortable. In my home, pets will have a clean, calm environment with plenty of attention, fresh water, potty breaks, exercise, and a comfortable place to rest. I live in an apartment with easy access to sidewalks, green space, and a nearby dog park for dogs who enjoy socializing (only with your permission). If I'm caring for your pet in your home, I'll treat your home with the same respect I would my own while keeping your pet's routine as consistent as possible. I'll also provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. Above all, my goal is for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away.
