Pet care experience

Reliable & Communicative (& Fun!)

I know how important pets are to their owners and I treat them as such! I am reliable, consistent, and trustworthy with my clients. I send photos during every visit so you know your little one is safe and happy. I'm very experienced with energetic dogs (I had one myself!), as well as senior and anxious dogs, and I'm highly attuned to each individual pet and go out of my way to make sure they feel cared for and comfortable during our time together.

Safety, trust & environment

It's so important to trust the people you let into your home to take care of your pets. I take this responsibility very seriously and always follow house rules when it comes to your space. I really appreciate meet & greets so we can make sure we're on the same page before booking (though I'm happy to book without one if timing is tight). Your dog's safety and comfort are paramount. I always take care to enter a new house calmly and respectfully, and I always check for water in the dog bowl and make sure your pets are comfortable and happy before I leave.

Amanda helped out with catsitting my 2 cats. She was super responsive, communicated promptly, and sent pictures. I'd highly recommend her!

Amanda takes great care of your pup and is very understanding of their needs. Amanda is very easy to communicate with and my pup, Miso, loved her calming energy. Would definitely reach out again for future dog sitting needs!

Amanda was wonderful! She took great care of my dog, stayed in contact sending pictures and updates, and left my apartment very clean. I’m always nervous leaving my dog, and it helps so much to know you have someone responsible and caring watching them.

Amanda is our go-to sitter any time we need someone to take care of our dog, Lily. She is very accommodating and flexible with timing, and she always provides lots of updates, pictures and videos. This time, Lily was on two twice-daily medications and Amanda handled it with ease. Lily loves the companionship of Amanda’s dog, too. We know she is always in good hands when she stays with them.

Schedule

I work remotely and have a flexible schedule, so I can work from your place and keep your dog company all day (for house sitting) and take breaks for walks anytime throughout the day (for drop-ins and walk visits). I don't have a set work schedule and am always happy to adjust to the timing that works best for you and your dog!

I find that most dogs are easy and don't require a ton of pre-work, but if you are someone that has a multi-page document on your dog's behaviors, walk times, meal times, likes & dislikes, etc., bring it on! I am glad to follow any and all rules. The most important things for me to know are if you pet has any needs I should attend to or be aware of, like mobility issues, leash aggressiveness, anxiety, required medications, or a penchant for eating food off the sidewalk. I also appreciate hearing which commands your dog knows and how you cue (verbal or hand signals). Knowing stuff like this ahead of time allows me to show up prepared!
