A big heart for four paws ❣️🐾
I began my experience of caring for animals with my own. I have always had dogs and cats since I was a child and loved being involved with taking care of them. Now, I currently have three fur babies. My husband and I rescue pets with health needs, so medication and extra TLC is not something I would shy away from. Family and friends know I’m always just a call away for anything they or their pet needs. I hope I can be that for you and yours too.

We always use Amanda when we’re out of town and she’s amazing! I always feel that our dogs are in great care! She’s very accommodating, especially this last time when one of our dogs needed to take medication.
Amanda was great! She kept us up to date with pictures and messages after every visit! Will definitely use Amanda again next time we go out of town!
She did an amazing job! My cats can be a little anxious (one in particular) but they were so relaxed with her. I also got new, updated pictures every time that showed them living their best lives!

Schedule
As a teacher, I am generally available after 3pm on weekdays, all day on weekends, and all through school breaks. My schedule is consistent and can allow you to know your pets care will be provided when it’s needed.

Safety, trust & environment
Crating, leashes, and harnesses are all areas I feel very confident in. While out walking, I am very experienced in recognizing and avoiding situations that may cause reactivity. As I am caring for your pets, I will follow all of their safety needs carefully. While I am in your animals environment, I know the importance of creating trust and consistency. I understand that pets are like family members and need to be treated as such.
Pets
A typical day
Playing with pets is such an important part of their day. I love to play fetch or tug of war with dogs or run around with them in their yard. Providing them with stimulation by wrapping treats in old towels or freezing their favorite snack is another of my favorite things. I also love teaching tricks like spin and lay down and rewarding their efforts in treats and pets. With my own kitty cats I love to give them time to play with their preferred toy and all the snuggles they want.
