I work full-time from home currently, which gives me plenty of opportunity to interact with my animals throughout the day. I take Roux on walks around our neighborhood after my workday is done and on the weekends we tend to go on light hikes.

I have a partially fenced yard and a cable tie out system as well. Our dog does very well off leash and stays in the yard, but I will make sure to keep your dog on a leash or the tie out to keep them safe and supervised. I also will not let the dogs play unsupervised and look for markers of safe play. I expect to have visiting dogs crated if they are unsupervised, for their safety and my pets' as well. I have 2 crates for this purpose, one is an XL and the other a L. Crate time would be no more than 8 hours (overnight).

I need to know the dog's history (health, house training, signs of aggression, fears, etc.) to best prepare myself and help the dog be as happy as possible.
A typical day
I'd love to take the dogs on walks or runs through the neighborhood or near by parks. Whatever you feel comfortable with letting your dog do. We also have adequate indoor space for the dogs to play and lots of toys.

I absolutely love all animals, big and small, and have owned a variety of pets ever since I was a little kid. My husband and I have been raising our first puppy, a golden retriever, and she is the sweetest 8 year old now! We also have a cat, Polly, who willingly tolerates our golden but they unfortunately will never be besties. Both of our pets are friendly with other animals, Roux more so than Polly. I have pet sit for multiple families as well as hosted dogs at our home. I have great time management skills and I'm very dependable. I am a person you can trust to leave your dog with and will take care of your pets as if they were my own. I am strict with my own dog's behavior and will expect the same from any visiting animals that we have in our home and am happy to help facilitate basic training. I will take lots of pictures to send to you throughout the day along with updates on how your pup is doing. We have a 2 year old at home that loves animals but can be a little intrusive of personal space.

Amanda and her family took amazing care of our dog! She was very thorough in making sure she understood how to best care for our dog and sent great updates while we were gone. I would leave our pup in their care anytime!
Amanda is exceptionally dependable. She helped us at almost the last minute due to an unexpected death in the family. We could handle everything while we were away with no worries as Amanda checked on our 3 kitties.
