I've been taking care of cats and other small animals since before I could walk. In addition to cats (up to 4 at a time), I have owned hedgehogs, hamsters, gerbils, and frogs. I am comfortable with all rodents and reptiles. Although I've never personally owned a dog, I have been dog sitting for friends, family, and neighbors since High School, and love taking dogs for hikes/walks. If your dog has a lot of energy and wants to get outdoors, we'll be a great match. Also, my dad keeps bees, so if that happens to be relevant, I do have limited experience in that arena - though I would need a bit of a refresher.

I would follow your guidelines and rules. The pet is yours and therefore I would always honor and respect your house rules, the animal's needs, and anything else agreed to when discussing the pet sitting opportunity. Therefore, how I would care for a pet is 100% dependent on the individual circumstance.

Amanda is awesomeness incarnate. My two cats loved her! I know this because I got daily updates and pictures of the little monsters making faces that they only make when they're really comfortable. She was great with them, even when they misbehaved (and even though she ratted them out to me, they didn't hold it against her). She's a great communicator, and eased my mind so I could relax on vacatiron, knowing she had it all under control.
Amanda is a genuine animal lover who took such a good care of Luna and Albus. Highly recommended!

Amanda is great with animals, she has cared for my two dogs and cat and I would recommend her services. She is patient with my overly exuberant large hound as well as my anxious smaller dog. Even my antisocial cat enjoys her care and company. She is reliable and friendly.

Schedule
I currently work full time, but I have a relatively flexible schedule and the ability to work from home 1-2 days per week. I am an early bird so have no problem waking up before dawn for walks/care as needed.

- Just let me know any special needs - dietary, medication, social anxiety, etc. of your pet ahead of time. While I prefer larger breeds of dog, small dogs are okay as well.
