dogs deserve the best of the best🐾

Dogs have always been a huge part of my life! Ever since I was little, I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy the company of a dog. They helped me grow up and have always been there for me. Dogs have simply always inspired me with their selflessness, and that’s why I became a pet sitter in the first place! I believe that it’s just my duty to do everything I can to make animals happy. Not only do I enjoy getting to make animals happy, but it’s great to give owners the peace of mind that comes with knowing that your best friend is in good hands! I am currently the proud puppy parent to a wonderful canine named Oakley. She’s pretty much my life! Oakley has been a big ray of light ever since I adopted her, and now she pretty much never leaves my side. Whether we’re out exploring the town together, heading to a brewery, or just heading out into nature, Oakley and I are practically tied together at the hip. She’s the friendliest pup of all time, and is always happy to bring new friends into the fold. Your pup will have a great time with us! When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it’s always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pup tick! Finally, I just love meeting new dogs! I like to get down on their level to show them that I’m a welcome presence here to make friends, and I’m sure we’ll be best buddies in no time at all. When your pup is under my wing, I want you to feel completely comfortable at ease. To that end, I believe that communication is the key for a great booking. During the time that your pooch is with me, I’m happy to take copious notes on anything you need. Anything and everything, from meal prep to exercise times; there is nothing too small for me to be diligent on! Every day, you’ll get a detailed check-in from me, complete with tons of great photos documenting the fun we’ve had together that day! I work from home, so I can adjust to any schedule your pup is used to, whether that be morning walks, even mid day or evening. I have a fenced in yard and a neighborhood with sidewalks. I like to know in advance how your dog does in a fenced in environment, if they like to stay in the yard or if they need supervision.

Amanda was amazing with our two dogs! We could not appreciate her more! She even gave them a little car ride for AC on this hot day.

Amanda B has a way with cats! Bea is a shy, timid, untrusting, and not very social cat. She usually hides when people come here. However, when Amanda came to meet us, Bea went to her, let her pet and feed her treats. (We were a little surprised that that didn’t continue during the actual drop-in visits.) Amanda came as requested, followed our institutions regarding daily tasks, and sent photos and detailed reports with comments about Bea's behavior. She also made efforts to help Bea feel more comfortable and even offered to take the trash bin to the curb. It’s difficult for both cat and cat owners to be apart for a week. We looked forward to each day’s reports and photos. Amanda B's dependability and care for Bea gave us confidence that she was in good hands.

Amanda is amazing as always. All Bailey (my dog) knows is BALL and Amanda always takes time to throw with her even though I know Bailey likes to flaunt the ball before dropping it. Thank you Amanda!

A typical day

I lead a very active lifestyle, so I’m always happy to make sure that your pup gets all their energy out! I’m a great fit for pups that like to get out and about, and Oakley always likes to have fun with new friends. What we do together will be completely dependent on your pup’s energy levels and exercise requirements, but I’m happy to accommodate absolutely everything. From getting out and running around until we fall over from exhaustion to cuddles on the couch (and everything in between!), I’m here to make your pup’s stay as good as possible. After all, a healthy pup is a happy pup!

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: - Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? - What’s your preferred method of communication? - Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? - Do you have a vet nearby that you trust? - Is your dog spayed/neutered? - Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? - What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? - What’s the best way to spoil your pup?
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
