Hi! We're a military family (Navy) who loves animals. We started sitting through Rover in August 2022, after we boarded our dogs with a few sitters through the app, and we love it! Rover gave us peace of mind when it came to boarding our dogs. It was so much better for them than being kenneled for long periods while we were away. We hope we can put your pets at ease while you're away too. We have a lot of experience with dogs. Growing up, Amanda had a Cocker Spaniel, and Anthony had several dogs of all sizes, his most recent childhood dog was a Yorkie. My husband and I have been married over 2 decades and have always had a dog or two. We've had a Boxer mix and a Cocker Spaniel in the past. We currently have yellow lab-mix named Daisy. We have a fenced in yard and lots of space for exercise! There is a large park with tons of open space and trails within walking distance to our house that is great for the animals to get out some energy. We live pretty close to COS airport, so it's a convenient drop off/pick up site. Currently we do not sit for pit bulls or pit mixes. Sorry, but we have small children. We prefer to sit for dogs under 75 pounds. Larger ones tend to knock over our kids, and intimidate our two dogs, espeically the high energy ones.

This was our second time having our dog stay with Amanda and Anthony’s family. They are always so welcoming and provide great updates through her stay. Gamora always comes home happy and we appreciate the great care they give her!

Amanda and Anthony did an excellent job watching my dog! My dog is very shy at first, but Amanda and Anthony made sure to slowly introduce him to their family. They sent update photos throughout the stay. I highly recommend them.

Schedule
Anthony is home full time. Amanda works from home a few days during the week and has weekends off. We are very flexible on hours needed. *Please note that we only take established clients during major holidays. (New Years, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas) You are welcome to book a trial weekend before a major holiday booking so we can assess if it’s a good fit for the holidays.

We have a fully fenced back yard with a 6 foot fence and 1 dog to keep your furry friends entertained. We have 4 boys that are ready to play as well. There will be no shortage of interaction while your dog stays with us.

A typical day
Plenty of outdoor time when weather allows. We have a fenced yard and have a few trails and open space parks nearby. We go on walks and play fetch almost daily. Your pet will have full unlimited access any time to our backyard for potty breaks.

- We have a 4 year old lab mix who is spayed. She loves playing with other dogs. She get along with pretty much all of our rover friends. We do offer baths, and pick up and drop off for an additional fee if you are interested. Does your pet get along with dogs? Is your pet potty trained? Do they use a crate? Where do they normally sleep? Are they ok alone at home for a 1-2 hours? How are they around kids? When we pet sit, we do not plan to be away from the house for long periods of time, but we do like to take our kids out on the weekends, and they may have games or practice some days, so is your pet ok for a few hours by themselves? Do they need to go in a crate? We can keep our dog separate if needed, they usually cling to their boys' sides and sleep with them as well. Just let us know. We do offer sitting for more than one family at once, but never more than 3 dogs at a time.
