I’m good with dogs and try to meet their needs
I have had dogs since a child, I have always had dogs in my family as an adult, I have bred a few litters of puppies, trained my dogs, walk them every day, I groom my own dogs as well as others, I treat basic health issues. I’m sensitive to each individual dogs needs whether it’s exercise or time on their own. I believe I can read a dog’s body language and behaviour. I am firm but fair and find dogs like my routine. I am covered by my own pet insurance in case of emergencies.

Amanda and her husband were the perfect host for Bagel. The daily updates were so wonderful for peace of mind as we hadn’t left home with someone else before apart from family. He was so relaxed when we returned and were a little fearful life had been too good that he wouldn’t want to come home. Would highly recommend.
Jasper had a lovely time with Amanda, She is very good with dogs and meeting their needs. Jasper is a nervous dog but loves the company of other animals, he had a poorly paw and on antibiotics just as we had to drop him off and Amanda was brilliant with him. He still had his walks but she made sure he stayed on pavements for the first couple of days as per Vets instructions which was assuring for us. She sent us loads of photos and updated us on his cheeky antics so we knew he was very comfortable with her and the family. We would definitely recommend her services.
Amanda took great care of our old puppy Boomer. We felt we left her in safe hands and we picked up a happy dog. We will use Amanda again for certain!
Marley's second stay with Amanda went extremely well. He really enjoyed the walks and we appreciated her care and attention to Marley.
I absolutely love leaving Florrie in Amanda’s care, knowing she is being well looked after, well exercised and socialised. She always comes home super happy but super tired. We couldn’t be happier with the regular updates, the love she is shown and how involved she is allowed to be in their family life. Thankyou for having Florrie for us and for allowing us to enjoy our time away from her without worrying about her, it means so much xx
Amanda was amazing, so good with our Willow who was settled from day 1, she had the best time and came home in great condition and was very happy! Amanda was very prepared and thoughtful, sharing daily updates and photos to reassure us and really cared for our girl as if she were her own. I could t recommend her more highly and will be booking with her again :)

Schedule
I’m retired so I’m at home as much as I want to be, I’m up early and can adopt any routine to suit any visiting dog, I have family and visiting grandchildren who would be supervised around any visiting dog, we all love dogs and they play a big part of our life. I generally do one big walk a day, forests, woods, parks, open land, beaches, I love walking and enjoy taking the dogs with me. I’m often working outside in the garden and the dogs love being free to explore the garden and checking up on me.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a miniature poodle, my children have a toy poodle, a Cavapoo and a lurcher, all our dogs are well socialised and get along with other dogs. At the moment I have 2 dogs on the property, they get walked every day but I have 6 acres they can explore all day, they can go outside when they please, or they can also slob about on the sofas, play together or with their toys. Any visiting dog would be treated like my own. My dogs don’t need crate time but I'm happy to use a crate if a dog prefers the security of a limited area. Any new dog who comes for the day or boarding I will ask you to fill out a questionnaire so I know everything about your dog’s routine and care instructions, I want your dog to feel at home as much as possible.

A typical day
I have a huge garden, I’m happy to throw a ball, walk around my 6 acre field and garden, I love being outside in the garden and generally dogs in my care like to hang around with me. I love taking them on daily walks, we have woods on our boundary but we love to travel by car to other fun dog locations such as a local heathland and the beach. I know so many walks and can choose routes to suit the needs of your dog.
