Level 3 Qualified Animal Carer
My experience in animal care began from a childhood filled with my beloved pet's, which led me to study Animal Management at Myerscough College, where I achieved a Level 3 City & Guilds qualification. I also have four years of professional experience working in a busy doggy daycare. I initially joined as a work experience placement in Year 11 and continued working there alongside college before becoming permanent staff. During this time I worked with a wide variety of breeds, sizes and personalities, developing strong skills in reading canine body language, managing different behaviours and creating fun enrichment activities. I’m comfortable caring for both energetic and more nervous dogs and always aim to adapt my approach to the individual dog.

Due to my experience in a doggy daycare and other previous dog walking endeavours, I have worked with a range of dogs from small, timid breeds to large, boisterous breeds, this has given me knowledge in how to read and manage canine behaviour which means your pooch will be in a safe hands.

Amalie has shown a great passion for animals especially dogs over the four years I have known. With helping people in my family with waking dogs, training, dog enrichment and dog grooming, you can clearly see the time and care she puts in when it comes to look after not only her own dog but others as well. She would be a great addition to your team providing care for all dogs of all shapes and sizes.
Amalie is wonderful with animals, it’s a real passion, she did a course when she was younger at Blackpool zoo and did animal studies at college, worked in a doggy day care for around 4 years and has done dog walking before when she had time, she then moved away and started a family and really wants to get back in to being around animals, I think this would be perfect for her, she is very friendly, professional and reliable and would make a wonderful addition to your team 😊

Schedule
I’m currently on maternity leave, which gives me plenty of flexibility to dedicate time to caring for your dog. I do have a young baby who may accompany me on walks or visits, so I’m always happy to discuss this with you beforehand and make sure you’re comfortable with the arrangement.

- I want to know as much as possible! Please tell me: - any allergies or if your dog is not allowed treats as I do like to bring them to create activities and aid on walks. - Age as I know senior pooches will want to take it a little slower and pups will have some extra energy to burn - character so that I know to expect a shy dog that needs more comfort and slow or a ball of energy that will make me feel like I’ve been walked. -behaviour around other people and dogs so that I know when to avoid others or take it slowly if your pooch is not the most social of butterflies - Any medical conditions, medication or additional care requirements I should be aware of. Of course, do not worry if any of this is not to your knowledge, we will learn together.
