We took our three dogs out to meet Alyx at a dog park here in Goddard. She had a lot of great questions in order to make sure that the dogs have the best experience possible. Once dropped off they were with her for five days and had a fantastic time with her dogs. I would recommend her to anyone looking for dog care.

Alyx is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about taking care of animals! Our first meeting was the most thoughtful meet-and-greet I have had with a sitter and Alyx got along great with baby-cat. I felt completely at ease to leave my pet in her care, I definitely recommend Alyx’s services to anyone who wants to make make sure their pet is a priority!
Alyx is so knowledgeable about dog behavior and good with dogs, especially with my big 100 lb puppy. I’ve never met anyone who cares so much. We will definitely be using Alyx again. Thank you ?

Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine and something I genuinely enjoy. I structure my schedule to ensure I have dedicated time for feeding, exercise, walks, playtime, medication administration when needed, and providing individualized attention to each animal. My experience as a K-9 Handler with the Department of Correction has taught me the importance of consistency, patience, and understanding animal behavior. I prioritize each pet's physical well-being, mental stimulation, and comfort, ensuring they receive dependable, compassionate care while their owners are away.

I always begin with a meet-and-greet to establish a positive relationship with both the pet and their family. During this visit, I take the time to learn about each pet's individual needs, routines, and any special care requirements, while also discussing the owners' expectations. I observe how the pet responds to my presence and perform an informal assessment of their temperament, behavior, potential triggers, and overall demeanor. This initial meeting helps build trust and ensures I can provide safe, personalized, and compassionate care tailored to each pet.

A typical day
Every pet is unique, so I tailor activities to their age, energy level, personality, and individual preferences. Whether it's neighborhood walks, games of fetch, tug-of-war, puzzle toys, or simply spending quality time together, my goal is to keep pets happy, engaged, and comfortable. For more active dogs, I enjoy providing plenty of physical exercise and mental enrichment, while senior pets or those with special needs receive gentle companionship and activities suited to their abilities. Above all, I make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for while their family is away.
