Hello! Zach here. I started working with Rover with my partner, Alyssa in 2022. In 2024, I became the primary care provider for our local animal friends, and Aly helps when she is available. I have a Bachelor's degree in Zoology, and I have always loved the outdoors and animals of all kinds. I fell in love with turtles and tortoises in particular at a young age, and the conservation practices which surround them. Growing up in Minot, ND, I got my first job at a local pet store called Purr-fect Pets, where I first learned about animal husbandry for fresh and salt water fish, small animals, and exotics. In 2015, I moved to Fargo and interned at the Chahinkapa Zoo in Wahpeton, ND where I cared for a wide variety of animals and helped to ensure their good health, as well as enrichment and habitat cleanliness practices. Since then, I have had various jobs, including with the Moorhead Parks Department, a brief stint in animal bathing, and other pet care related needs until I found my true passion, which was taking care of pets and making sure they are loved and cared for in the spaces they feel most comfortable while their families are away. It is very important to us that our pets are loved while we are away, so I strive to provide that for the pets of our community.
