As an animal lover I enjoy meeting new furry friends and taking care of them is a joy to me. I love what I do as it ensures one more animal will receive the love and attention they deserve. My first pet sitting gig was for my neighbor when I was 10. They had a sweet boxer named Bruiser. Since then I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes and breeds along with cats, birds, chickens, and bunnies! Friends, family, coworkers and neighbors have all relied on me to take exceptional care of their pets. I’ve got experience bathing/brushing as well. I also have experience with special needs dogs (blind, deaf, immobile) along with the seniors. I’ve been told many times I have “great energy”. I’m originally from Seattle so am looking for new local LA based clients. I have references as I have been pet sitting and babysitting for many years. Alyssa was such a kind, caring, compassionate sitter for our dog, Parson. She spent so much dedicated 1:1 time with him, sent photos and updates, was responsive to our texts and overall was a very trustworthy and lovely human to have in our home while we were away. We can't recommend her enough and would look forward to welcoming her back again soon!
Total NIGHTMARE! Alyssa ABANDONED my dog while I was on the other side of the world in CHINA! She refused to follow my Rover instructions of notifying me when she left the apartment. When I checked my car app and noticed she wasn’t house-sitting (she was driving all over LA instead) and was ignoring my texts, I called and confronted her, and she said she was leaving!! She told me “it’s not like Izzie is a child, she’s a dog.” ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? When my friend arrived to check on Izzie, there was pee all over the floor and Izzie was traumatized. She also weirdly stole all of my condiments from my fridge!! I have begged and pleaded to have her removed from Rover as to not put anyone else through the agony Izzie and I faced, so if you’re reading this, run fast, do not let Alyssa near your place or your dog. In the 15 years I’ve used Rover, I’ve never experienced a worse nightmare, and I hope I can prevent anyone else from going through such a horror.
I’ve known Alyssa for a number of years and enthusiastically recommend her. She loves animals, and has cared for our 2 cats and 3 dogs in our home. We will be using her services again this year. Our pups, kitties and us all give her give her paws up!
Alyssa was the best pet sitter we had before she moved away. She loves dogs and is very attentive to their needs. She spends a good amount of time playing with them and walking them. When she stayed at our house, she left it in better shape than when she arrived.
Alyssa was an excellent pet sitter! She stayed in my home and watched my 2 cats and 2 dogs for 8 days and they were so happy! She sent me pictures and updates and took the dogs on a walk everyday. I would absolutely recommend her!!! She has a genuine love for animals, this isn't just a job for her :)

Schedule
I’m available full time. I have the time and autonomy to ensure your pet/family member will be well taken cared of and so loved! I am very understanding about last minute changes as well. Any other questions feel free to ask.

Safety, trust & environment
When in your home I maintain a clean, safe environment while following all instructions given. I typically spend more time with your pets than required as I enjoy being around dogs + cats and animals so much! In my home, I have a fenced yard and a calm, sweet rescue cat to keep your dog or cat company while you’re gone! I can also provide care at your home if that’s best for your pet. While I’m a professional, this doesn’t feel like ‘work’ to me as I’m passionate about providing excellent pet care! Bonus: I always send cute pics + videos!
Pets
A typical day
I love to keep your dogs mentally and physically stimulated, no staying inside bored all day. We will work on commands, play games, take some great walks and visit the best park nearby. I love hearing what your dog enjoys and taking it from there! Same goes for cats! For example my cat plays fetch, I’d love to find out what fun quirks your cat has!
