Pet care experience

Just a grad student who loves pets!

I’ve had a dog for 17 years of my life and love all animals! I have pet sit for friends and family; everything from cats, dogs, fish, and small rodents. I’ve had a senior dog before and also a puppy so I do know how to navigate those particular needs.

House Sitting • Oct 06, 2025

Already excited to book Alyssa again! She was absolutely amazing. She stayed at our house over the weekend and didn’t miss a beat! You can tell she has a heart for animals and loves on them as her own!

Alyssa has been terrific for us when we need either a dog sitter for the day or overnight. She really loves animals, and our dogs really seem to like her too.

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I am an occupational therapy graduate student so I have a lot of free time throughout the day. I’m available every 2-4 hours for pet care and am able to spend time at your home if your pet needs some extra love and attention! Also, I’m available some week nights and weekends to board in your home. I have a very spoiled fur baby of my own!

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

The safety, well-being, and happiness of your pet(s) are my top priority! I understand that leaving your beloved pet in care of someone else is a significant decision, and I aim to provide the highest quality of care possible that offers peace of mind for you!

Pets

A typical day

I love to ensure pets are fulfilled physically, mentally, and emotionally. I am a big believer in treat incentives and walks. Also, I love toys and puzzles that are mentally engaging as well. This is important because mentally stimulating tasks can tire them out just as much if not more than a walk!

I would always like to be aware of these things before watching a pet: 1. How they react to strangers, particularly in their space. 2. Are they reactive to dogs, people, or other stimuli on walks? 3. Are there any commands you need me to know to provide better care of your pet? 4. Do they have any medical needs? 5. Do they have any type of food aggression and/or do they need to be separated from me or other pets at meal times? 6. Are there any other questions, comments, concerns, or things I need to be aware of before you entrust me to watch your pet?
