Life-long lover of animals
My first pets were 2 rats. I took care of them exclusively, bathed them, fed and cleaned up after them. The family cat Simba was mainly my responsibility with occasional help from family, and I would take care of our family dog Bentley when I was home for summers from college. I've helped care for several other animals when babysitting children, and occasionally dog sat overnight for other families over a 3 day weekend period. I've also loved my time volunteering at the local dog shelter where I walk, clean up after, and play with all the dogs up for adoption until they find their forever families. Also enjoyed a 6 week program at a dog shelter in Athens, Greece in 2024!

Alyssa did a great job with communication and flexibility. Dogs and house were in maintained condition. It was not perfect and it was good enough for all of us.
Alyssa was great! She was super flexible with our schedule, she showed up in a timely manner, and she really cared for Lucy. She played with her, gave her treats, let her outside and have her lots of company! She was great and we are definitely rebooking!

Schedule
I’m working part and full time depending on the week, but have most availability on weekends and later in the afternoons. Happy to do house sitting as long as the dogs can be alone for up to 6 hours on the days I work!

- Let me know if your dog has any special needs or preferences I should know and account for. I think it's important to know all the boundaries and expectations the dog has (like if they aren't allowed in a particular room, or if they can eat table scraps). I think it's also important to know any other behaviors I should know to better care for the dog.
