Rather than only watching pets in my own home, I’m totally willing to commute. I make sure to learn about any possible triggers (especially if the cat has a history of trauma, I always ask to be safe). I do regular check-ins every hour to update how the animal is doing. I also ask where food, treats, or canned food is stored just in case. I always check with the owner if there’s anything specific they’d like me to do like playtime, brushing, litter duty, or anything extra. I also make sure to ask about any allergies ahead of time in case something in the environment could cause a reaction.

Pet care experience
Since I was 5, I grew up around family dogs seeing babies born and even helping pups come into the world before I was 10. That’s when I realized pets aren’t just animals they’re really part of our hearts and souls. When I was 10, I lost my heart and soul to leukemia my Boston Terrier mix, who fought so hard the first time. I still mourn her almost 10 years later and think about her often. After seeing her pass, I knew I wanted to care for animals. Since then, I’ve trained dogs, helped birth puppies, and been surrounded by all types of pets, but dogs will always be where it all started for me. While many people share a love for animals, I actually grew up with all kinds of breeds and personalities down to how they even come into this world. I’ve had hands-on skills for as long as I can remember. While others may have grown up with dogs, not everyone has done training, gotten certifications, or joined programs like FFA. I was in FFA (Future Farmers of America) for 3 years, working with animals and doing community service projects that included our furry friends. That, plus 13 years of animal knowledge that keeps growing every day, is what makes this more than just a job for me it’s who I am.

Lya is so sweet and kind. First time I’ve been away for significant time from Miyah since we lost our other pup, her best friend and companion since 8wks old. Miyah is highly attached to me, I was needing to find someone who would spend time with her and keep her on her routines. Alyssa came to walk my two pups at a very short last minute notice and she was INCREDIBLE! She walked them and sent me photos of their walk as well as updates on how they were doing during her visit. I couldn’t have gotten any luckier when finding someone to care for my boys. I highly recommend Alyssa and I can’t wait for her to be back to hangout with my boys again!!
Alyssa did an absolutely wonderful job taking care of my three dogs while I was away. Each of them has their own unique needs — different medications, diets, and routines — and she managed everything perfectly without any issues. It was clear from the moment I returned that they were happy, healthy, and well cared for. My house was just as clean and tidy as when I left, which really shows how responsible and respectful she is. Most importantly, my dogs absolutely loved her — they were calm, content, and clearly bonded with her. I felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands.
