I have hands-on pet care experience working at a busy doggy daycare, where I cared for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels in a fast-paced, supervised environment. This role strengthened my skills in animal safety, behavior awareness, feeding routines, and providing attentive, compassionate care to each pet’s individual needs. Outside of work, I’m also a dedicated pet parent to my senior Jack Russell Chihuahua mix, who has taught me patience, gentleness, and the importance of senior pet care. From administering special care routines to making sure she stays comfortable and happy in her older years, I understand how important it is to treat every pet like family. I bring both professional experience and genuine love for animals to every pet I care for.

In my client’s home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable, safe, and on their normal routine so they feel as little disruption as possible while their owner is away. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, playtime, and any special needs. With my experience working at a doggy daycare, I’m confident handling pets with different temperaments and energy levels, and I’m very attentive to behavior changes and safety. I always make sure pets get the right balance of exercise, enrichment, and calm downtime depending on their personality. I also have personal experience caring for a senior dog, so I’m especially mindful of older pets who may need slower walks, extra patience, or more frequent check-ins. I treat every pet like they’re my own and make sure they feel secure, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.

Alyssa was amazing! She checked in on Fluff several times a day while I was out of town for work. She kept me updated on how he was doing throughout the weekend and even washed his blankets when he got sick in his kennel. Alyssa treated Fluff as if he was her own and it truly meant a lot as it was the first time in while that Fluff didn't travel with me. Thank you, thank you!!
Alyssa would be a wonderful dog sitter for anyone lucky enough to have her. She is very kind and cares deeply about every kind of animal. She has 3 pets of her own and always makes them a priority. She would treat your animal like her own!

I am a hospice social worker available for animal care throughout the day. Ideally early mornings or after 3pm but am available for random scheduling
