I am a certified cat lover and am I’m no stranger to caring for playful kittens to senior and geriatric cats, with personalities ranging from shy and cautious to outgoing and full of energy. I’ve learned how to understand and adapt to each cat’s individual personality, routine, and needs. I’ve also frequently cat-sat for friends, family, and others, including cats who need extra attention or specialized care. I’m comfortable caring for senior and special-needs cats, administering medications, following specific feeding or care routines, and giving extra patience and attention when needed. I know how much trust it takes to leave your cat in someone else’s care, and I’ll treat yours like one of my own. I’m happy to send photos and videos throughout my visits and can even FaceTime so you can check in on your kitty while you’re away!

I like to keep cats on a routine and make their time with me feel as normal and comfortable as possible. My typical day with starts with greeting the kitties (of course) and preparing their wet food for breakfast. About an hour later, they get a small scoop of dry food to munch on (sometimes they are sneaky and get a second breakfast from their dad). Depending on my schedule, we’ll hang out, play with their favorite toys, and of course have plenty of snuggle time. In the evening, they get more dry food, and after work we usually all pile onto the couch to relax or take a nap together. At bedtime, my cats know it’s time to start their shift at the biscuit factory, and eventually settle in for the night. 🐱 I’m also very comfortable with special feeding routines and extra care. When I had my late cat, Max, I prepared his food separately because he needed medication and had very specific dietary needs. He required a very liquid diet, so I would make what I lovingly called “cat food soup” for him. It taught me that caring for a cat sometimes means getting creative and putting in a little extra effort to make sure they’re comfortable and getting exactly what they need. So if your cat has a specific feeding schedule, medication, dietary restrictions, or other special requirements, I’m not afraid to take on the task. I’ll follow your instructions carefully and do my best to keep their routine as close to normal as possible while you’re away.

Alyssa is one of the main reasons for my love for cats. She taught me how to take care of my kitten when I first adopted him, gave me information on pet products, vets, and important tests. She was then always someone I could rely on to watch my baby (who I am very protective over as any pet parent). Alyssa loves animals, is extremely knowledgeable about cats in every stage of life (kittens to seniors), and treats every fur baby as her own in her care and love for them. She’s my first call when it comes to my babies and should be yours too.
Alyssa has watched my cats as I have needed and she always goes above and beyond! She really loves them and cares for them like they’re her own. I would highly recommend Alyssa for any time you need someone to watch your beloved pets!
I cannot recommend my friend highly enough as a pet caretaker. Animals have always been at the center of her life, and it truly shows in the way she loves and cares for them. She currently has three cats who are happy, healthy, and incredibly well cared for. Before them, she devoted 15 wonderful years to her previous cat, providing a lifetime of love, comfort, and exceptional care until the very end. Her pets are more than just animals, they’re her family. She is attentive to their needs, patient, compassionate, and always goes the extra mile to ensure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. Whether it’s keeping up with their daily routines, noticing even the smallest changes in their behavior, or simply giving them endless affection, she treats every pet as if they were her own. If you were to visit her home, the first thing she would do is introduce you to her fur family. Anyone looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely passionate about animals can feel completely confident leaving their pets in her care. I have no doubt that any pet would be in loving, capable hands with her.
Alyssa is the ultimate cat lover - she bonds with any cat she comes across. Great with any animals of the feline persuasion and also great at giving meds to tricky cats! Will treat them like her own and respect your home as well.

Schedule
I work full-time during the week, and I’m an early riser and am available for morning and evening drop-ins, with evening visits typically around 5:30 PM. If your cats eat multiple times throughout the day, I don’t mind making additional drop-ins before and after work to keep them on their normal I sometimes work on the weekend, so weekend drop-ins will be limited. If absolutely necessary, I’m also open to overnight stays with your kitty —for example, if you have a special-needs cat,or a cat who becomes anxious when left alone. I prefer overnight stays to be booked in advance so I can properly plan and clear my schedule. I also understand that plans can change, so I’m flexible with day-of cancellations when needed. When I’m caring for your cats in your home, I’ll treat your space with the same respect I give your pets. I’m tidy, respectful, and will make sure everything is left just as I found it. 🐾
