I’m able to plan my work around visits and walks, which means I can be consistent and reliable with timing. I’m available for drop-ins and walks throughout the week and on weekends, and I do my best to accommodate preferred time windows whenever possible.

Since I’ll be caring for pets in your home, my priority is making sure your pet feels comfortable, safe, and as close to their normal routine as possible. I take the time to follow your instructions closely, whether that’s feeding schedules, walk routines, medications, or any specific preferences your pet has. I try to keep everything consistent so your pet feels at ease while you’re away. I’m very respectful of your home and will treat it with care while I’m there. I also make sure pets are secure before leaving, double-checking doors, gates, and anything else important to their safety. You can also expect regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.

I’m happy to follow detailed instructions to make sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels, as well as cats. I’m also okay with basic medications as long as your pet is generally cooperative with taking them. I do best with pets who are friendly or at least comfortable with new people. I’d also love to know how your dog typically does around other dogs and how they react to someone new entering the home, so I can approach things in a way that keeps everyone comfortable and safe. If your pet has any specific triggers, anxieties, or quirks, I appreciate a heads up so I can make sure I handle things in the best way for them.
A typical day
A typical visit with me is really tailored to your pet and their routine. For dogs, that usually means a walk (whether it’s a relaxed stroll with plenty of sniff breaks or something a bit more active), followed by some playtime or just hanging out and keeping them company. I’ll make sure they’re fed, have fresh water, and get plenty of attention before I head out. I always try to match their energy, so if they’re more playful, we’ll play, and if they’re more relaxed, I’m happy to just sit with them and give them some company. For cats, visits are usually low-stress and easygoing. I’ll take care of feeding, litter, and any quick cleanup, plus spend a little time giving attention if they want it, or just letting them do their own thing.

I grew up with a golden retriever and have continued caring for dogs into adulthood, including regularly watching my sister’s dog over the past 4 years. He’s a 95 lb gentle giant, so I’m very comfortable with larger dogs, but I truly enjoy pets of all sizes, ages, and energy levels. I’m comfortable with puppies, senior dogs, and giving basic medications as long as your pet is generally cooperative. I always aim to keep things consistent with what they’re used to so they feel comfortable and at ease while you’re away. What really sets me apart is how reliable and attentive I am. I run my own business, so I’m naturally very organized, communicative, and respectful of routines. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and I take that seriously. You can expect clear updates, photos, and someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with your pet. I’m also happy to care for cats and provide drop-in visits that keep things low-stress and consistent for them as well.

Alyssa is the best! She watched our dog mia for a long weekend and I could tell that mia was so loved and well taken care of. she provided us with the best updates and photos. This was Alyssa’s first time sitting for us and she was great. We had just moved into a new place so my bulldog gave her a run for her money. Even though he was a brat Alyssa was sweet and understanding. Would recommend her for sure.
Alyssa was so easy to work with! She was great to communicate with and is very attentive! She watched my dog for a couple days and I felt super confident he was in great hands and happy. Highly recommend using her and will definitely rebook in the future!
