Information Alyssa M. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your pets have any special needs, health issues, or preferences. I would love to hear about their temperament, energy levels, and favorite things. Anything I can know about your pet will help me to give them the best possible care.
A typical day
I recognize the importance of enrichment in our pets lives, so play is key part of my routine. They require both physical and mental stimulation for them to be satisfied. My favorite activity to do with dogs is definitely our walks because of all the engaging smells and sounds. We can adapt it based on your dogs needs. For dogs who have mobility challenges, we can avoid stairs and steep hills. They can take as many breaks as they need. If they are energetic and enjoy a faster pace, that's great motivation for me to get some cardio. Anxious dogs and puppies can benefit from reward-based training for calm behavior which I will happily do with a preferred treat upon your permission. Cats tend to get ignored, but it doesn't need to be that way. They love their space, but they also need meaningful interaction. That could be playing with them using strings or wands. We can also provide them with solo play opportunities through their environment. It could be small plushies, balls, crinkle toys, cardboard boxes, or really anything they can play with safely.

Pet care experience
Professional experience: I worked at a pet supply store for over 4 years where I was a dog nail trimmer and handled small animals regularly. I also have 4 years of behavior modification experience. Personal experience: Growing up I mostly had guinea pigs, but wanted a cat more than anything. My family eventually got a puppy that we took through a training program. In my early 20's I had lived with 5 cats who belonged to roommates. I fell in love with cats again and knew I would have my own when my it made sense for my life. I now have 2 tuxedo cats that are my whole world.
Reviews

My experience with Alyssa was great! I’ve had a hard time finding a reliable sitter- Alyssa was easy to work with and communicated well. During the meet and greet it was clear she had experience with cats. She even went a step above and took out a full dirty litter bag.

Alyssa took great care of our cats, was very communicative, and we were able to add an additional day due to last minute travel delays with no issues. She's our first choice to watch over our cats next time we travel.

I had a wonderful experience with Alyssa! She took amazing care of my cat, Soup. I had complete peace of mind while I was away. She was reliable, attentive, and made sure Soup was well taken care of and comfortable. I came home to a happy, healthy cat. I will absolutely book with her again!
We had a great experience with Alyssa! She was easy to communicate with, sent regular updates and photos, and clearly took great care of our cats while we were away. It was such a relief knowing they were in good hands. We really appreciated the attention and care Alyssa provided and would definitely book with her again. Highly recommended!
