Availability

Over the summer, I will be free anytime, any day (10am-8pm). I have no job plans other than dog walking/sitting so it will be my main priority. During the school year, I will be available later in the day for scheduling (4pm-8pm) but will be taking it just as seriously. I live directly next to the lake and like to spend my time there reading/walking/flying my kite and it's the perfect place for dog walking/play.

Safety, trust & environment

I have no pets in my apartment (3rd floor) and am mostly interested in dog walking, doggy day-care, and drop-ins. I am open to boarding but it would have to be depending on dog size/length of stay/etc. Safety is always priority #1 alongside reliable communication so that I can ask questions or further clarify my role/ tasks for that session. I can't wait to get to know all of the dogs I will end up caring for and am eager to begin my Rover journey!

Reliable and Organized Animal Lover

Pet care experience

My family adopted a dog (Maltese/Shitzu mix) ~6 years ago and I have been to vet appointments, given oral/ear medicine, bathed, walked, trained, fed, groomed (basic), and given him endless amounts of love! I've also learned a lot about bigger dogs from my partner and his family who have 2 Dobermans that I have dogsat multiple times. I have learned lots about the different dynamics of small vs large dogs and find that it's been really valuable in all my canine interactions since. Animals are my soft spot and I want to care for and meet as many as possible! I'm eager to learn more about different breeds and their needs as well! I will be prioritizing safety and communication while doing my best to be as attentive as I can to my surroundings and each pet's body language.

Alyssa is an animal lover at heart and has proved it caring for my dogs. She has a dog herself who she adores. Experienced with both big and small animals. From a hedgehog, to my 100 pound Dobermans, I feel more than confident that she will not only care for clients’ animals, but become best friends with all the furry babies she interacts with!

I have had the pleasure of working with Alyssa in a few different capacities. She works as a paraprofessional for students with special needs. She shows care for the students she works with and makes sure that their basic and social-emotional needs are met. Alyssa is reliable and will go above and beyond to support students. Alyssa has also been my cat sitter when I am away. She takes exceptional care for my cats. She will follow up with pictures and text updates regarding how they are doing. She goes above and beyond by spending time with the cats as well playing with them and providing them love and cuddles. Alyssa is my go-to cat sitter, and I could not recommend her enough!
