I’m a lifelong pet person with a little something extra; I’ve also worked hands-on in dog cognition research at the University of Arizona, studying how dogs think, communicate, and interact with people. 🐾 That experience taught me just how unique every dog is. I’m patient, dependable, and attentive to the little things, from body language and routines, to favorite toys and cuddle preferences. I have grown up with dogs my entire life, and became a cat owner as well 2 years ago. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you can feel confident knowing your pet is being well cared for. My goal is simple: keep your pet safe, happy, and feeling right at home while you’re away.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and comfort are my priority. I’ll care for them in the environment they already know and follow your instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, doors/gates, crate routines, and any household safety precautions. I pay close attention to body language and changes in behavior, appetite, or routine and will communicate with you if anything seems unusual. During house sitting and drop-ins, I’m also mindful of home security—making sure doors and gates are secured and your home is left just as I found it. You can expect regular updates and plenty of photos, too!

Schedule
I frequently stay on Ft. Huachuca! I work part-time in Sierra Vista Monday–Thursday in the afternoons, with shifts no longer than 5.5 hours, so pet care fits easily into my routine. I’m available mornings and evenings on workdays, with plenty of time for walks, meals, playtime, and attention before and after work. I’m also off Friday through Sunday, giving me even more flexibility for your pet’s routine and needs. 🐾 My part-time work schedule (unavailable times): Mon. - 12pm-5pm Tues. - 12pm-5:30pm Wed. - 12pm-5pm Thurs. - 2pm-7pm

- Their normal routine — feeding times, walks/potty breaks, playtime, bedtime, etc. • Their personality — Are they shy, social, cuddly, independent, high-energy, or more of a professional napper? • Any medications, medical needs, allergies, or special care instructions I should know about. • Behavior or safety concerns — such as getting nervous around strangers, other animals, guarding food/toys, trying to escape, or anything else I should be aware of. • Household instructions — where food, supplies, litter, leashes, cleaning supplies, etc. are kept and anything I should know about your home while I’m there. • Emergency information — your preferred emergency contact and veterinarian information. • Anything else that helps your pet feel comfortable! Favorite toys, treats, hiding spots, weird little routines, and quirks are absolutely welcome.
