I always make sure pets are in a secure environment, follow feeding and medication routines carefully, and keep a close eye on their well-being. Along with basic care, I also focus on enrichment through play, walks, and one-on-one attention to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. My goal is to make sure each pet feels safe, loved, and happily engaged while in my care.

Before pet sitting, let me know the pet’s daily routine, including feeding times, potty schedule, and any medications they need. id love to have a meet and greet to understand their behavior, triggers, and comfort items that help them feel safe and happy. It would also be helpful to know any house rules, training commands, and how they interact with other animals. ill also prefer to have emergency contacts and vet information on hand, and to be aware of any dietary restrictions or escape risks to keep them safe and well cared for.
A typical day
When I watch pets, I make sure they’re having as much fun as they are staying safe. For dogs, we’ll go on playful walks, explore new scents, and enjoy fetch or tug-of-war in a secure yard or park. For cats, I offer interactive play with toys like feather wands and laser pointers, as well as cozy cuddle time if they’re up for it. I always tailor activities to each pet’s personality and energy level to keep them happy, comfortable, and well-loved.

Dogs have always been a part of my life, and caring for them has become second nature. With years of hands-on experience raising and looking after dogs of all ages—from playful pups to calm seniors—I’ve learned how to provide the love, attention, and structure each one needs. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or simply keeping them company, I make sure every dog feels comfortable, happy, and cared for like they’re my own.

Alyssa has watched my 3 dogs several times and they love her! I have two large dogs, one of which is pretty territorial, the other is calm, and I also have a small, disabled, senior dog. She is familiar with how to care for them with their unique needs, follows directions carefully, and asks questions when they arisShe is very communicative and kind, and I know I can trust her in our home when we're out of town.
