I currently work full time during the week, so generally evening drop-ins M-Th and Morning and/or evening drop-ins on the weekends are what will work with my schedule. I do pet care not because I have to, but because I love it.

I will gauge my engagement with your pet based off the feedback they give me. Does your kitty prefer to stay isolated at the top of her post, eyeing me like her most recent prey? Great! I’ll make sure kitty is fed, watered, and box cleaned, and she can continue her reign without my mortal touch. Does your dog demand the kind of attention that Beverly Hills Housewives grapple for on the daily? Say no more. Your pup will be lavished with the love and praise they aptly deserve. All jokes aside, I will interact with your pet in a way that always ensures both their comfort and safety.

I would like to know of any diet or activity restrictions or habits (do they eat too quickly or drink too fast? Do they need their food prepared a certain way? Have they had a recent injury and have mobility restrictions?), basic commands/verbage you've taught your pet, any other temperament issues or quirks your pet may have, as well as their favorite treats, games, and/or walking paths! If there is anything you can think of that I should know such as nicknames your pet responds to or even typical bathroom spots, just let me know! All of this is applicable to cats as well. Pets can often exhibit separation anxiety when their owners leave such as not eating or going to the bathroom, so if you've ever noticed any of these types of tendencies when you've had previous sitters, I'd love to hear what they are so I can be aware of them and know whether it is worrisome behavior or not.
A typical day
We will go on walk in your surrounding neighborhood or if preferred, we can also stay in your yard and play fetch, frisbee, or whatever your pooch desires. For cats, I will play with or engage them in any way they allow! Cats sometimes just want their space and I can comply with that as well, but if your cat loves to play then so do I!

Pet care experience
I have had dogs and cats my whole life, and I currently have two cats of my own. I have experience with dogs of all sizes as my family has had dogs ranging from chihuahuas to a Saint Bernard! I have experience with kitties ranging from extra-cuddly-love-bug all the way to grumpy-don’t-want-to-be-touched-or-looked-at types. I absolutely love spending time with dogs of any breed (going to the dog park is as much a "treat" for me as it is for pups!), and enjoying walks whether it be in sunshine or the Seattle rain! I'd say the only stipulation as far as large sized dogs go is, if your pal is very large and actively in charge, I may have to decline. I am fairly strong, but there's only so much I can do if your dog is heavier than I am! I am both cat and dog friendly, and enjoy both immensely! That being said, my animal passion does lean heavier on the cat side. I have two cats of my own, so I am very familiar with feline antics including (but not limited to) flea medication administration, subcutaneous fluid administration, teeth brushing, oral medication administration, and nail trims :) I love meeting new kitties and would definitely say I enjoy every purrsonality :) I will shower them with the same love and devotion I would a dog... unless they’d rather me keep to myself :) Cats can be, well... cats! I worked at an emergency veterinary clinic for 8 months, so I've had hands on experience with gentle restraint if need be, as well as being very familiar with any emergency warning signs, pilling, and subcutaneous fluid administration. I am willing to care for dogs big and small, and would very much love the chance to meet and connect with you and your beloved fur baby! I also recently worked at Mudbay for two years, so I am familiar with most harnesses, leashes, foods, and treats carried in the store. I am currently a veterinary assistant at a cat-specific clinic, so I have resources and helpful knowledge at my disposal if the need arises with cat-sitting clients. I am just as thorough with you and your pet as I would be with my own (I am very particular), so I will update you often and with detailed information. Alyssa is wonderful with my cat and chickens. He gets lonely and sad when I first leave, but sometimes I think he would prefer that I stay away and Alyssa keep coming! I’m glad he loves her so much.
My cat always seems so content when Alyssa comes to check in on him. She is also great with my chickens!!
