Rescue Dog Mom Loves Dogs
I was a devoted dog mom for 10 years to my rescue pup, who was my best friend and constant companion. Most recently, my 10 year old senior dog, Keira just passed away. I am not ready for a dog of my own yet, but I love spending time with dogs. I’m really active, love being outdoors, and will make sure your pup gets plenty of exercise, attention, and care! I’ve also used dogsitters from Rover and know how important it is to feel comfortable that someone responsible is watching your dog and looking out for their best interests while you are away. I live with my boyfriend who loves dogs, plays an active dog parent role with our rescue dog, is very active, and extremely patient. In order to ensure the best experience for both them and myself, we will only care for one dog at a time, dogs who are adults or seniors, and moderate to lower energy. I only dog sit for pups who are comfortable sleeping in their own bed or designated space, as I don’t allow dogs to sleep in my bed. I’ve found this helps everyone settle in more comfortably and creates a consistent routine during their stay. I only care for dogs who are on a vet prescribed regular flea and tick preventative medicine and are spayed/neutered.

My dog is a senior and a rescue and has medical needs, so he’s a handful. Alyssa and Scott were so attentive and responsive to his needs while I was away. It was my first time away from him in over a year but they put me at ease that he was in great hands. Thank you for taking care of my fur baby!
Alyssa was a fantastic host. She took such great care of our Lola and made sure that she felt at home. It was super sweet to see pictures of Lola on a three mile walk! Communication was excellent. We would absolutely book with Alyssa again.
Mango had a great time with Alyssa! She was very responsive and attentive to Mango. She sent daily updates with cute pics and videos. She was also very open minded and understanding of his needs. Would love to book again.

Alyssa was amazing! She asked questions to make sure Scotty would do well with her before we met. She sent updates with pictures daily and let me know how he was doing with eating, potty, and energy levels. It was great to be able to see that his routine was consistent and he was comfortable :) Will definitely use Alyssa again!

Schedule
I work remotely and take walks throughout the day, so why not enjoy them with a dog? Caring for pets fits perfectly into my routine, giving me the chance to provide them with exercise, companionship, and plenty of attention. My boyfriend has a hybrid work schedule and he loves going on long walks as well. On weekends, I usually go for long runs and may be out for up to 3 hours, so it’s important that your dog is comfortable being alone during that time.

I prioritize safe, enjoyable walks tailored to each dog’s needs. Whether it’s a leisurely stroll or an energetic outing, I ensure they get exercise, fresh air, and plenty of attention while keeping them safe and happy. My boyfriend and I are a mature couple and we’re very vigilant when taking care of a dog. In addition to our dog, we will only look after one other dog at a time to ensure that dog gets our full attention.
A typical day
We will take dogs on leisurely strolls where they can stretch their legs, take bathroom breaks, and enjoy plenty of sniffing time. Each walk is tailored to their pace, ensuring they get exercise, fresh air, and a fun change of scenery
