When I house sit, I follow your pet’s usual feeding, walking, and play routines so they feel comfortable while you’re away. I also keep the house in order and am happy to help with little things like watering plants or bringing in the mail so you can come home stress-free. For walks, I make sure your dog gets safe exercise and plenty of attention, and during check-ins I give fresh water, potty breaks, and some play or cuddles. My goal is to care for your pets and your home as if they were my own.

It’s important for me to know about your pet’s daily routine, feeding schedule, and any special needs or medications. I’d also like to know how they do on walks, if they have any quirks or things that make them nervous, and what their favorite activities are. The more I know, the better I can keep them happy and comfortable.
A typical day
A typical day with me includes plenty of love and attention for your pets. I can take them on walks to get their exercise in and play games like tug of war or fetch if they enjoy that. For older pets who may not be as active, I focus on giving them comfort, gentle attention, and lots of pets. No matter their age or energy level, I make sure they feel cared for and happy while we spend time together.

Pet care experience
I have a year of experience caring for two senior dogs (ages 11 and 13), so I’m very comfortable with older pups who may need a little extra patience and attention. I make sure to stick to their routines and give them plenty of love so they feel safe and cared for while you’re away. I also love spending time playing with dogs. whether that’s gentle play for older pups or more active fun for younger ones. I treat every dog like they’re my own and always make their happiness my priority.

She stayed at our home for about 10 days to care for our dogs and cat while we were traveling. Communication was sometimes difficult since we were in a remote area without signal. During a winter storm, our cleaning team noticed the dogs outside in the cold and wet. When I asked about it, she mentioned she had been unable to get home that evening. What concerned me most was that there had been no message letting us know the dogs were outside or asking if someone could help bring them in. The day we returned, our cleaning team told us that when they came the day before, there were dishes and food leftovers left in the sink that had been there for a few days and the house had developed a strong smell. She did mention that the dogs had gotten into some plants. Unfortunately plants are very important to me, so it was upsetting that several were destroyed. Our cat also developed a small rash on her forehead during the stay. Thankfully all of the pets are okay overall, but for longer house and pet sitting we personally prefer someone who is able to spend more time at the home and keep a closer eye on the pets. Hopefully she can improve this for next time
Alyssa was great! Stayed at the house with my two dogs for ten days. She made sure the dogs became comfortable with her and was very communicative about them and if she planned to leave the house. Will definitely use again!
