Hi! I’m Alyssa, a preschool teacher at Harvard University living in Wakefield, MA. I spend my days caring for young children, so responsibility, patience, and communication are second nature to me. I’ve always loved animals and understand how important it is to feel confident leaving your pet in someone else’s care. I’ve had pets my whole life. Growing up, I had two cocker spaniels, Peter and Jack, and a yellow lab, Abby, from Guiding Eyes for the Blind. Abby technically “failed” her guide dog test — turns out she was just a little too excited about life and loved everyone a bit too enthusiastically, which meant we were lucky enough to keep her as our forever family dog. I also had two cats while living at home in New York, and now I have an orange cat of my own named Derby. I treat every pet like part of my family, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Because I work in education, I’m highly organized, dependable, and used to keeping families updated. I’m happy to send photos and regular check-ins so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands.
