I am extremely passionate about animal care and have grown up with dogs my entire life, as as well as a variety of other pets. Being around animals is something that comes to me naturally! Over the years I have undergone hands-on experiences pet sitting for friends and family around the Lower Mainland; this include caring for young puppies who require extra attention and patience. I am extremely organized, attentive and adaptable with every animal I care for. Every pet has different needs depending on their personality and routine, and I make an effort to adapt my care in a way that is shaped to them; this might mean sticking to a schedule, reinforcing basic training and boundaries, or helping your pet express their extra energy in a safe way. In addition to pet care, I have over five years of babysitting experience that has taught me to be reliable, communicative, and detail oriented. I ensure owners feel at ease with their pet in my care by providing regular updates and being responsive. I pride myself in treating every pet like they are my own fur baby!

We can't say enough wonderful things about our experience with Alyssa. From the moment we left, she was incredibly responsive and provided regular updates, messages, and photos, giving us complete peace of mind while we were away for over a week. What truly stood out was her exceptional level of care, attention to detail, and genuine concern for our dogs' well-being. During our 1.5 week trip, one of our dogs was sprayed by a skunk in our yard, and she went far above and beyond what anyone would reasonably expect. She took immediate initiative to care for our dog, clean up the mess, wash affected items, and make sure both dogs were comfortable and safe, all while keeping us informed every step of the way. Her kindness, professionalism, and dedication were evident in everything she did. Our trip would not have been the same without her level of care and attention. Knowing our dogs were in such capable and compassionate hands allowed us to truly enjoy our time away. We are incredibly grateful for all of the extra work she put in and for treating our dogs as if they were her own. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pups and a clean and spotless home and we could not have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend her and would book with her again without hesitation. ❤️
Alyssa did a great job. Hiro and Turtle were happy and content when we got home and we feel like Alyssa cared for them a great deal. She sent pictures throughout the weekend.

Alyssa was fantastic! She took wonderful care of Maddie and kept us updated with hourly texts. She followed all instructions perfectly, and we came home to a happy dog and a clean house. We will definitely ask Alyssa to sit Maddie again!

Schedule
As a student taking online courses, I have an extremely flexible schedule. I am available for dog walking and check-ins most weekdays and weekends and can pet sit most nights and weekends. Please check my calender to see my most recent availability!

My priority is to accommodate you and your pet’s needs! In your home, I focus on ensuring that their routine is as normal and stress-free as possible, whether this be a regurlarily scheduled walk or a hyperspecific bedtime routine. I am also an extremely organized and tidy person, and I will ensure that I leave your house in spotless condition. For walking services, I am open to exploring local neighbourhoods or driving down to nearby hiking paths depending on how adventurous your little buddy is feeling. Safety is always my priority when it comes to walking; I pay close attention to dog energy levels, behaviors, and comfort levels around other animals and in various environments. I ensure that leashes, harnesses and collars are always secure and comfortable, and maintain a pace appropriate for your dog's needs.

A typical day
A typical day always depends on each pet's individual routine and personaility, but I will always ensure that your pup gets plenty of attention, excercise and company! This usually includes walks, playtime, and lots of attention; playing fetch, going for long strolls in the park, or just hanging out quietly are all possibilities, depending on your dog's needs. For puppies, I am patient with providing extra potty breaks, short walks, and lots of play sessions to accomodate high energy levels. Older or calmer dogs might require more of a focus on comfort and gentle exercise. I will always ensure that routines such as feeding schedules, water, and medications are followed closely. Whether it be couch cuddles or an invigorating game of backyard tug-of-war, I would love to give your pet the undividied attention they deserve!
