My schedule is very flexible. I’m currently dual-enrolled with a mixture of in-person and online classes at Western University, pursuing a degree in elementary education. Most days, I can easily work my schedule around to create a care schedule that works best for you and your pet(s)! I currently do not offer overnight services but I an available for drop-in services and walks.

When I say that “I will care for your pet(s) as if they were my own”, I mean that I try my best to help them feel as comfortable as possible, and will treat them with love, respect, and kindness. I understand it can take longer for some pets to warm up to a new person. I will aim to earn your pet’s trust, while still respecting their space and personal boundaries. I also understand that leaving your furry family members in the care of someone new can feel scary and nerve-wracking. To help ease your worries, I will be sure to provide daily updates and photos. I enjoy playtime, walks, and cuddles. I am more than happy to spend time with your pet(s) and I would love to help them accomplish some of their favorite activities while you’re away!

Let me know if your pet has any special needs, medical problems/concerns, or behavioral problems that should be addressed before care. Please no pets with a history of biting and/or aggression! A meet and greet before care is preferred. I strive to provide the best care possible and to do that, I feel it is important to make sure that both myself and your pet(s) feel comfortable. Additionally, if you have a pet that will need medication while you are away, it would be ideal if I could try administering medication during the meet and greet to see how they will react toward a stranger. I do have some experience giving oral medications to cats, but some pets are easier than others, so I would like to know what to expect ahead of time.
A typical day
I will provide time for play, and can take your dog(s) out for walks, with plenty of time to smell all the smells. I also enjoy giving out love and cuddles! Whatever your pet enjoys doing, I will gladly do that with them. I will be happy knowing that your pet is happy and fulfilled under my care.

Pet care experience
I am a cat mom, so my experience is mostly based around working with cats. I currently have 2 cats of my own, and I sometimes foster kittens through the SafeHaven Humane Society. Growing up, I had a large dog (black lab-german shepherd mix) and bunnies that I helped care for. Even though I’m a cat momma, I love all animals! I promise to love and care for your pets as if they were my own.

Alyssa did a great job with our kitty! He needs medicine 2 times a day and although he doesn’t always cooperative for anyone other than us, Alyssa was diligent in trying and following up. We got great updates and cute pictures and our boy was happy and healthy when we returned home ☺️
This is the second time Alyssa has taken care of our cats, and she did a wonderful job!
We've booked with Alyssa a couple times now. She always takes good care of our kitties and turtle, and is very communicative while we're away!
Alyssa was fantastic! Very flexible and her communication with scheduling or updates about my kitties was efficient but intentional! This was extremely helpful since we hired her over the Christmas holiday, so everyone is so busy, but I never had to reach out to her nor ask her questions. She was thorough with check-ins, took great photos every visit and my kitties loved her! I would most definitely recommend her and will be keeping her info in my "back pocket" to use next time because she was so reliable!
