I’m currently unemployed, so I am available almost 24/7 to care for your pet(s)! My schedule allows me the flexibility to provide reliable and attentive care for pets throughout the week. I make it a priority to plan my day around the pets I'm caring for so they receive the attention, exercise, potty breaks, meals, and companionship they need. Whether your pet thrives on a structured routine or is more laid-back, I'm happy to work with their individual schedule and needs. Communication is important to me, so you can also expect regular updates, photos, and check-ins while you're away.

As a foster caregiver, I've worked with animals from many different backgrounds, which has taught me how to read body language, respect boundaries, and help pets feel comfortable in new situations. I carefully follow all owner instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, routines, and household rules. I believe every pet deserves individualized care and attention. A typical day
A typical day with me is tailored to your pet's personality and needs! For dogs, that usually includes walks, potty breaks, playtime, enrichment activities, plenty of affection, and lots of opportunities to burn energy. If your dog enjoys adventure, I'm always happy to explore local trails and enjoy some outdoor time together. For cats, the day might include feeding, play sessions, brushing (if they enjoy it), litter box cleaning, and plenty of attention on their terms. Throughout the day, I make sure pets stay engaged, comfortable, and loved. And because I know how much owners miss their pets, I love sending photo updates and little reports so you can see all the fun they're having while you're away.

Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember! I've owned and cared for a variety of pets over the years and have experience with animals of different ages, personalities, and care needs. One of the most rewarding parts of my pet-care journey has been fostering. I'm currently a foster with Capital Area Humane Society (CAHS) and have also fostered for other shelters in the past. Through fostering, I've cared for pets who were shy, energetic, recovering from medical procedures, learning social skills, or simply looking for a safe place to land before finding their forever homes. I also have two dogs who don't currently live with me, but I absolutely love spending time with them whenever I can. Whether it's long walks, outdoor adventures, or hiking local trails, I'm happiest when I have a furry companion by my side. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away.

I’ve had the pleasure of having Alyssa take care of my dog Bud a couple times on days where I’m too busy with work to spend time with him throughout the day. While I was away she was very attentive to my dogs needs by taking him on walks, playing with him, feeding him, and keeping his mind active by making him do tricks and commands. I can tell by the way she talks about dogs and interacts with them that she truly loves and understands their needs. I can’t recommend Alyssa enough for anyone who needs a loving and responsible pet caregiver.
I cannot recommend Alyssa enough! She took amazing care of my five dogs, three cats, and bunny while I was away. Managing that many pets is no small task, but she handled everything with patience, responsibility, and genuine love for animals. She kept me updated, made sure everyone was fed, comfortable, and happy, and gave me complete peace of mind knowing my pets were in great hands. When I came home, all of my animals were relaxed, well cared for, and clearly loved while I was gone. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, dependable, and truly passionate about animals, she is the perfect choice. I would absolutely have her watch my pets again!
I’ve had the privilege of watching my daughter, Alyssa, grow up with animals her entire life. She has always had a soft spot for them and naturally gravitates toward making sure they’re happy, comfortable, and loved. Whether it’s taking dogs for walks, playing with them, or simply sitting with them and giving them attention, caring for animals has never felt like a chore to her. What makes me most proud is the patience and kindness she shows. Animals seem to trust her, and she treats every pet as if it were her own.
