Whether providing care in your home or mine, my priority is keeping your pet's exact routine consistent, safe, and stress-free. I start by identifying the spaces and corners where they feel most comfortable and secure, allowing them to acclimate at their own pace. Once they are at ease, I engage them with their favorite toys—I especially love a high-energy game of tug-of-war with dogs of all sizes! I treat your home with the utmost respect, strictly adhering to your feeding, medication, and house rules so your pet feels completely safe in their natural environment.

Alyssa has been a wonderful caregiver to our 3 pets (2 cats and a dog) for several years now when we have been out of town. The sadness the animals show when we are packing disappears when "Auntie Lys" comes by and they all come to greet and show their affection. Alyssa has demonstrated a high level of patience, kindness, and affection to our animals, and we know that they will be very content and well cared for in our absence.
Alyssa has been lovingly looking after my dogs since I got my first dog Spaghetti over 10 years ago. What's special about her is that she develops just as strong of an affection for your pet as you have. Like I always feel guilty going away on trips and leaving my hound dog Millie at home *except* when we can have Alyssa come stay with her because she loves Alyssa and Alyssa loves her. She gets the same enthusiastic zoomie greeting from Millie that we get when coming home from a trip.
Alyssa has been walking and dog sitting my dog for years and my dog adores her. She always sends pictures and updates when we are away. Highly recommended her for dog AND cat sitting or dog walking.

Schedule
Because pet care is my primary focus, my schedule offers exceptional flexibility throughout the week. I am readily available for regularly scheduled walks, midday drop-ins, and routine feeding sessions. Living and working locally in Somerville allows me to seamlessly adjust to shifting timelines and often accommodate last-minute visit requests for nearby clients.

- Please let me know if your critter suffers from separation anxiety so I can ensure my coming and going is as seamless and stress-free as possible for them. For safety and comfort, it is also highly helpful to know about any specific triggers (such as loud noises or leash reactivity), dietary restrictions, and medical needs ahead of time. Understanding their favorite hiding spots and unique personality quirks helps me provide the best possible care from day one.
