I’m currently a student at SJSU looking for a summer job. I do not have a car, but I’m happy to take public transportation within reason to watch your pets! I’m mostly available on weekday mornings and afternoons.

In terms of safety and security, I’m happy to accommodate your needs. Whatever you need me to do to make you more comfortable with me taking care of your pets in your home/yard I can do! In terms of dog-walking, I can take whatever route you prefer, and/or stay in your own neighborhood for your comfortability.
Information Alyson S. would like to know about your pet
Of course, I would like to know if the dog has any specific needs or handicaps, especially in terms of older dogs. It’s easy to get carried away playing with dogs, but as a person who has older dogs myself, I understand how even just a little bit too much play can harm them. I would also like to know if the dog is prone to accidents or throwing up, that way I can look out for it when I’m over and be able to clean up if need be!
A typical day
I love to let a dog decide which toy they want to play with, whether that be playing fetch, tug, hide and go seek, or anything else they like to do. I’m happy to play with them for as long as they are capable, or however long you as the owner prefers them to exercise for! Overall, I just think it’s important that the dogs are loved on and paid attention to.

Pet care experience
My family has had dogs my entire childhood, so I’ve had the experience of taking care of up to 3 large dogs at a time. I’ve learned how to feed, brush, bathe, and play with dogs my whole life. I also have prior experience doing drop-ins for other people’s dogs; feeding, watering, and playing with them twice a day. I believe it’s vital for pets to be physically and mentally stimulated every day, and I’m honored to be the person that can do that for them!

Alyson takes such great care of our hyper dog! She goes above and beyond to make sure to spend quality time with him while we are gone. Doesn’t just feed and leave. We highly recommend Alyson, she is a dog whisperer!!!
What makes Alyson a wonderful pet caregiver is her truly compassionate nature. Her approach is individualized and unique to each creature. She identifies that each pet has a personality of their own. I would consider her a very responsible person who is dependable and has good communication skills.
