We moved to Baltimore from Washington state a couple years ago. We’ve previously made great friends and built relationships with wonderful families through dog sitting and are hoping to do the same here in Baltimore. The best way to describe me is "dogs love Alyson". And I love them. Whether it's jogging, playing tug of war, couch cuddling, or exploring hiking trails, I love spending time with dogs. All of the "discomforts" like slobber, stepping in poop, being covered in hair, and high-pitched barking don't phase me. I'm a dog person through and through. My husband Taylor is from Kansas City originally and is excited to make Baltimore his new home. We still argue about who dogs love more (it’s me obviously), but he’s definitely the better running buddy and tug of war champ. It’s always fun for us to see who a dog prefers! Especially once they figure out who they can get more treats and cuddles from. We both work full time so we are not available to stay with your pet all day right now. They will get plenty of attention in the morning and evening hours. We have experience with small dogs, large dogs, seniors, puppies, and special needs and love them all equally. We have our own pup Caramelle who has become dog selective in the past couple of years. Due to her behavior changes we have experience with BAT training and managing reactivity. Our preference is positive reinforcement and we generally avoid aversive tools (like choke collars, spray bottles, etc). We are open to boarding in our home on a case by case basis. Caramelle gets along well with balanced male dogs that like to run and wrestle. If your pup loves a good playmate-she’ll definitely tire them out. We live near an arboretum which is great for long quiet walks. We consider pups part of the family so that means all the furniture privileges. We try our best to honor schedules and commands so there is little disturbance to daily routines.
