Safety, trust & environment
I have a checklist that I review with pet owners to ensure we cover everything as thoroughly as possible. This includes bathroom schedules, allergies, medications, the type of fencing or yard setup they have, whether pets are allowed on furniture, and if they are sensitive to thunder or loud noises (primarily so I can monitor them closely during storms or fireworks). I also ask about grooming needs, any injuries or hotspots to watch for, veterinary contact information, and the nearest emergency vet in your area. While I’ve never had to take a pet I was caring for to an emergency vet, I believe it’s important to have that information readily available in case treatment ever becomes necessary. We’ll also discuss any limitations they may have, as well as whether they’re allowed to go on rides, walks, swimming outings, or even enjoy the occasional pup cup 🩶 I also like to review each pet’s daily routine and preferences with owners to help keep their care as consistent and comfortable as possible while you’re away. I’ll ask about feeding schedules, potty breaks, medications, sleeping arrangements, favorite activities, and any behaviors or sensitivities I should be aware of. My goal is for every pet to feel safe, loved, and stress-free in my care while giving owners peace of mind knowing their pets are being treated like family.
Information Aly P. would like to know about your pet
I like to have a detailed list of instructions from each owner to ensure every pet is cared for exactly as they’re used to. This includes medication names and schedules, emergency veterinary contact information, favorite toys, and any fears or sensitivities (such as loud noises—so I can help keep them calm during thunderstorms or fireworks). I also ask about behavior and safety considerations, such as whether they are reactive or aggressive toward other animals on walks, any known allergies, and whether they tend to get into trash or other items left out. Information about their preferred sleeping arrangements is also helpful—whether they have a specific sleeping spot or enjoy sleeping in the room with me. Since I stay overnight in the home, I also appreciate knowing which areas are off-limits. I usually ask owners to simply close doors to rooms that don’t need to be accessed. Any additional instructions regarding mail, trash, plants, or general household care are also very helpful so I can maintain your home just the way you prefer while you’re away.
A typical day
I enjoy taking dogs on walks around their neighborhood, giving them safe exercise and enrichment whenever it’s appropriate for their routine. If a family prefers not to have their dogs go on walks, I make sure they still get plenty of attention and activity through playtime in the yard. When permitted, I also love taking dogs on short rides or exploring local walking areas to give them a change of scenery and extra stimulation in a safe and controlled way.

Pet care experience
Hello! Thanks for taking the time to read my profile. My name is Aly, and I absolutely love animals. Every animal has its own unique personality, which makes spending time with them so rewarding and fun. Pet care has given me the opportunity to earn extra income, meet wonderful people, and spend time with some truly amazing animals. Along the way, I’ve also learned so many interesting things I never would’ve thought to look up myself in conversations with new people. I have roughly 15 years of professional pet-sitting experience, along with a lifetime of caring for family pets. I’m experienced with: • Dogs (puppies to seniors) • Cats (kittens to seniors) • Chickens & roosters • Pigs (farm pigs & mini pigs) • Fish (bettas, goldfish, koi, and tropical fish) • Horses • Chinchillas • Guinea pigs & hamsters • Rabbits • Turtles • Ferrets • Hedgehogs • Corn snakes • Reptiles, geckos, & lizards I’m always happy to learn and add more furry, feathered, or scaled friends to that list. Thank you for considering me to care for your pets!

Reviews
Aly was all around great. She communicated well and took good care of my pup and my home.

Aly was kind and communicative. Our dogs seemed to love her, and she sent regular updates throughout the booking. I would definitely recommend!

Aly did a great job taking care of my dog! I felt like my pet was in good hands because Aly was good at communicating with me and took the time to make sure my dog was comfortable!

This was our first time using Aly. She watched our dog, Ellie in our home for an extended weekend. She kept us updated with messages & photos while we were gone. Our home taken care of & nothing was out of place when we returned. I will definitely call Aly again!
