Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s safety and comfort are non‑negotiable. We live in a quiet, dog‑friendly housing complex with two on‑site playgrounds designed for small breeds. We also cap groups at one to two small dogs, meaning your pup never has to compete with large breeds. Our home features puppy gates, soft beds, a small metal crate available if needed and multiple living areas so pups can be separated or have private nap time. We’re a non‑smoking household with no children. Dogs are welcome on our furniture and bed if that’s what they’re used to. You’re welcome to bring your dog’s own crate or bedding to help them feel at home. We also provide daily photo and video updates throughout each stay, keeping you connected to your pup’s adventures.

Information Alvin & Ashley H. would like to know about your pet

To provide the most personalized care, please tell us about your dog’s routine, temperament and preferences. Do they have food allergies or medications? Are they social butterflies or shy cuddle-bunnies? How do they react to strangers or other dogs? The more we know, the better we can replicate your home environment and keep them comfortable. We’ll also discuss feeding schedules, potty signals, favourite toys and any training cues you use.

A typical day

Mornings start with a gentle wake‑up, a quick potty break, and breakfast served just the way your pup likes it. After a short rest, we head outside for our first adventure: two on‑site doggie playgrounds that are perfect for small pups. We’ll play fetch with soft balls, practice basic cues like “sit” and “stay” for tasty rewards, and give them plenty of space to run, zoom, and explore at their own pace. By late morning we enjoy a neighborhood stroll, soaking in fresh sights and smells. Midday brings water, treats, and a cozy nap in their favorite spot, whether that’s a sunny patch of carpet or a comfy bed you provide. In the afternoon we’ll visit the playgrounds again to burn off energy with more fetch, gentle tug‑of‑war, or bubble chasing (a big hit with most small dogs). For pups who love mental stimulation, we sprinkle in puzzle toys and short training games to keep their minds engaged. Evenings are for a calm decompression walk, dinner, and plenty of relaxed cuddle time. Before bed we do a last potty break and settle your pup into their favourite sleeping spot. Throughout the day we send you photos and updates so you can share in the fun.

Double Love For Your Small Pup

Pet care experience

We’re Alvin & Ashley, devoted dog parents and partners in life and pet care. We have 25+ years of combined experience. Growing up with dogs and caring for friends’ pups sparked our passion for small‑dog care. Since then we’ve raised our own Cavapoo, Sterling, from puppyhood into adulthood and have hosted dozens of small breeds through Rover. Our experience spans puppies, seniors, anxious rescues and pups with special dietary needs. We are comfortable administering oral medication, supporting post‑surgical dogs and accommodating senior quirks like limited mobility or hearing loss. Your pet receives loving, family-style care, not just a boarding spot.

Alvin and Ashley were fantastic once again! This was Yoda’s second stay with them, and we couldn’t be happier. Their communication was excellent throughout, with lots of photos and updates that gave us complete peace of mind. Most importantly, Yoda came home calm, relaxed, and content, a clear sign of how well he was cared for. We highly recommend Alvin and Ashley and would gladly book with them again. Thank you both for taking such wonderful care of Yoda!

Alvin and Ashley are true dog lovers! They create a super dog-friendly environment where couches and beds are for humans AND dogs allowing my dog to feel right at home. Every picture I received showed my dog being loved on, happily on a walk or sound asleep exhausted from all the fun! this was our first stay to do a trial prior to a longer stay and I feel incredibly comfortable with the care and nurturing my dog received. It is hard to trust people with my baby, but Alvin and Ashley made my dog feel part of the family. It doesn't get better than that!
