Hello, I'm Althea! I grew up with a family dog who unfortunately passed away in 2020, but I've been blessed to be a dog and cat aunt to my friends' furry children. I love being around animals and learning to speak their language - when I'm at somebody's home, you'll likely find me immediately trying to bond with their pet. Unfortunately, I don't have the resources right now to have my own animal friend, so I'd love to take care of your pet as if they were my own.

When I'm in my clients home, I take the time to understand their pet and their quirks, and do my best to stick to the schedule that they are used to for eating and walking. I stay attentive to their body language and how comfortable they are, and when they show they are comfortable with me, I give them all the affection and love they deserve. I'm also very respectful of my client's house and their belongings, treating your space as if it were my own and making sure to thoroughly clean up after myself and your animals.

Althea was amazing! She gave plenty of updates on our pets and took great care of them. Prior to the sit, she did a couple of drop ins to get more familiar with the pets. We had a flight issue and whilst I was communicating providing updates each time it was delayed, before we got confirmation the flight was cancelled, she had already offered to stay if needed. She was already one step ahead of us and asked about the pets food which in the panic of the situation, had skipped my mind. Traveling can be extremely stressful but Althea was absolutely fantastic and we left our pets in great hands. Prior to leaving, she sent a nice wrap up which included information about the pets that day but also she took any towels/blankets and put them in the laundry room, took care of her dishes, and other house things we didn't ask for, showing how considerate and kind she is. We will recommend her and use her in the future!

Althea is amazing! She took perfect care of our two larger dogs, followed every instruction, kept us updated and gave them extra love and attention. Already rebooked for a future visit.
Althea provided outstanding care for my little guy while I was out of town. She sent plenty of photos and regular updates and kept me informed about how he was doing. Her communication and attentiveness gave me real peace of mind. I would definitely hire Althea again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter.

Schedule
I’m currently a remote worker, so I have tons of flexibility for quality time with your furry loved ones. I also love to lead an active lifestyle, so walking your dogs fits right into my daily schedule that I already make time for. I have experience dog and cat sitting for my friends who own a variety of animals - young, large, elderly, sassy, sweet, and everything in between.

- Please let me know if your pet has any special needs, medical concerns, or any odd quirks I need to know about. For example, I was told in my debriefing with a client that her cat has a tendency to try and be an escape artist. This was helpful in making extra sure her cat was safe and inside the whole time, especially as I was transitioning between the garage.
