I work close by and usually work half-days so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets! On those rare full days of work I can stop by during lunch for potty breaks.

I treat every pet as my own and love to play and snuggle, or respect your pets' wishes if they need space. Animals are an integral part of my everyday life and I work hard to be the trustworthy, friendly, and vigilant pet sitter I am. As a pet owner, I know how hard it can be to trust someone to care for your pets, and I am always happy to share pictures and updates as often as you'd like.

I have pet rats so I don't generally offer pet sitting in my home, but you're always welcome to ask if you believe your pet will ignore them and we can give it a try!

I'm happy to spend each day how your pet wants! We can have lots of playtime, snuggle time, or just coexist and do our own things.

Pet care experience
As a veterinary assistant in both emergency and general practices, I have cared for many pets and enjoy doing so. I am experienced with puppies and kittens, senior pets, large breeds, and special needs (blind, deaf, mobility challenges, and medication needs including diabetic pets). I also trained a guide dog puppy for Southeastern Guide Dogs so I can help to maintain your training and obedience practices while you're away. In addition to dogs and cats, I am experienced caring for reptiles and rodents, and I am happy to learn to care for any species!

My dog loves having Alona stay over! He feels so very comfortable with her. She smoothly handled some sudden digestive issues he had. That was very reassuring to me since I was out of town. She is a proactive and delightful communicator. I'm really grateful she is part of my dog's care team.
Alona is the best and took great care of our girl as usual! We had her stay for another 2 week trip and Alona sent pictures as updates throughout. It’s so nice to travel for stretches and not worry
